Es war eine so tolle Zeit bei der Familie. Das bereits oft erwähnte Essen war so lecker und wir konnten gute Gespräche führen. Mr. Sudath hat alle Möbel selbst hergestellt in jedem Zimmer. Das sieht richtig gut aus! Mit einem Reifen im Fluss schwimmen hat so viel Spaß gemacht und war ein Natur Erlebnis. Gerade weil über einen die Affen durch die Bäume springen. 😍 Die ganze Atmosphäre, die Natur und vor allem das gesamte Personal sind so wundervoll und herzlich. Das nächste Mal, wenn wir in Sri Lanka sind kommen wir wieder zu Besuch. Danke!!

Fantastic view and friendly staff! We enjoy walking so the location was great for us, and it’s easy to take a tuk tuk if needed. The area is a bit noisy, there was construction going on during the day but we didn’t find it bothersome in the evenings so we could get rest. The breakfast is good, with fresh fruit and the omelette it was what we needed.

If you want to do a safari in Udawalawe park, this is the stay you need to book. Super friendly people, amazing apartment (the views are incredible) and they organized a safari tour for us which was amazing. Our driver knew a lot about the wildlife and helped us stay away from most jeeps!

Absolutely loved our 2-night stay at Villa Joy! We're a Dutch couple and from the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The scenic tuktuk ride through tea fields (booked via Villa Joy) was bumpy at the end, but totally worth it — the mountain views are breathtaking. Waking up to birdsong and coffee on the terrace felt magical. The cooking class with Sakura and her warm team was a true highlight — fun, hands-on, and super tasty! The room was clean, peaceful, and beautifully decorated with flowers. Excellent communication before and during our stay made everything easy. We left feeling recharged and cared for. Highly recommend this little slice of paradise!

You have to stay here when you come to udawalae, the rooms are clean and modern and there is a nice pool to use. BOOK THE SAFARI WITH THE HOTEL. It is unmatched we had a super nice guy take us around and he didn't chase any animals at all.

Wir hatten eine unvergessliche Zeit in den cubes at Hideout! Die Unterkunft ist wirklich etwas ganz Besonderes – mit ihrem Glamping-Charakter und dem einzigartigen Blick auf die Nine Arch Bridge einfach traumhaft. Jeden Morgen mit dieser Aussicht aufzuwachen, war ein echtes Highlight. Der Host ist unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen, und es wird wirklich jeder Wunsch erfüllt. Egal ob Tipps zur Umgebung, Essen oder Transport: Es wird sich um alles gekümmert! Ein kleiner Hinweis: Die Unterkunft liegt etwas abseits, sodass man nicht direkt zu Fuß nach Ella-Stadt laufen kann. Auch normale Taxis kommen die schmale Straße nicht hoch – aber der Host organisiert jederzeit einen Tuktuk-Fahrer, der einen zuverlässig bringt. Empfehlung für alle, die Natur, Ruhe und etwas Besonderes suchen!

Our best find in Sri Lanka. Hosts, Michael & Ruwanthi are so friendly & helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a truly wonderful time. Glyn Myu is beautiful, luxurious & very comfortable. The location is quite simply breathtaking. Ruwanthi is an incredibly talented cook serving exquisite meals with most ingredients gathered from her extensive garden. Her knowledge of the dietary & medicinal properties of her homegrown larder is very impressive. She is also delighted to share her passion & knowledge. A Sri Lankan gem where we felt welcome, relaxed & immediately at home. They have a very informative website with contact details!

DANKE, DANKE!! Wir hatten bisher noch nie so außergewöhnlich freundliche und herzliche Gastgeber. VJ und Tilia sind einzigartig, hilfsbereit, freundlich, kommunikativ, lustig und haben uns ein sehr gutes und willkommenes Gefühl gegeben. Individuelle Wünsche unseres Sohns wurden erfüllt und wir können diese Unterkunft absolut empfehlen. Sie liegt ca. 10 min TukTuk Ride von Ella entfernt. Unterhalb von Ella Rock und gegenüber von Little Adams Peak. In der Nähe sind tolle Wasserfälle zum Baden und VJ hat uns mit seinem neuen TukTuk dort hin gefahren. Frühstück war so reichhaltig, dass wir immer eine ‚take Away‘ Box gefüllt bekommen haben und damit leckere Snacks für den Tag hatten. Es gab einen leckeren Begrüßungstee mit Blick in das Ella Gap. Jederzeit wieder und absolut zu empfehlen.
