Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Kalutara

Edna und Alfons waren die herzlichsten Gastgeber, die man sich nur wünschen kann! Wir haben uns von Anfang an wohl gefühlt, hatten ein gemütliches Zimmer, das Essen war super-lecker und abwechslungsreich. Hier erlebt man wirklich das Original-Sri Lanka, abseits der Touristen-Pfade - und lernt dabei auch noch tolle, interessante Leute kennen (andere Gäste, Edna und Alfons, die immer etwas spannendes über ihr Leben im Dschungel zu erzählen haben, sowie die netten Mitarbeiter der Lodge). Alfons hat mit uns und 2 anderen Gästen eine Wanderung durch den Regenwald gemacht - absolut lohnenswert! Auch morgendliches Yoga oder eine Massage bei Edna kann ich nur empfehlen. Wir hatten wirklich großartige Tage (und wollten gar nicht wieder weg)! 1000 Dank an Euch zwei, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

I spent two weeks with Sunil and his family and had a wonderful holiday. My goal was to relax and recover from my stressful life. I was left alone when I needed it, but also fed with information when I needed it. Sunil was always anxious that all my wishes were fulfilled. He was always on hand with words and deeds if I wanted to go on a trip, or needed a tip to do things (Ayurveda treatment, restaurants or elephant safari). To summarize, I can say that I felt very comfortable the whole time. The room was very pleasant and exactly as shown in the photos. There is no lack of anything and if that, Sunil cares about it without any problems. I have rarely experienced such a beautiful hospitality. I would like to thank Sunil and his family for this unforgettable time !!!!

We stayed at the upper floor of the homestay and 3rd floor of the Espirit hotel. Lex had the caretakers waiting for us when we checked in so late. His family is responsible kind and safe for a family or for female travellers. Its a place that welcomes smokers, so if you are sensitive to smoking 3rd floor of Espirit is vest away from the music and the fresh ocen air. Even though you cant avoid smokers in the whole Benthota area. But if you are at an upper floor of Espirit they have huge door windows and you can get lot of fresh air. They have tall ceilings and a good fan with AC and a fridge. It was spotless in the hotel. We had the best sleep in the hotel our first day there, we even would have loved to extend our stay. Restaurent is also very nice and they give you a good breakfast and the best coffee. Its close to beach but far enough from the train so the noice level doesnt bother you like some other properties in the area. If we ever go back to Benthota we will come back to Espiri

Super Guest House in Beruwala, alles sehr geschmackvoll im singhalesischen Stil, besonders die tolle Gartenanlage sticht hervor. Direkt am Strand gelegen, wir konnten jeden Tag am Strand unsere Mahlzeiten genießen. Total freundliches Personal, sehr leckere, hochwertige und authentische Küche. Sehr empfehlenswert!

We had a great stay with the host family. They are very friendly and welcoming. The room is as decribed, tidy and clean. Location is also great, close to everything you need. We would come back here for sure.

Das Zimmer ist wirklich für den Preis traumhaft schön! Wie hatten während unseren gesamten Aufenthalt in Sri Lanka kein so schönes Zimmer, wie in einem teuren Hotel. Alles super sauber und frisch. Die Lage ist auch super, weil man auch zu Fuß alles erreichen kann. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und flexibel, wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt. Eine Küche und Waschmaschine ist in der Unterkunft übrigens enthalten.

Super deluxe comfy beds! Even the luxury bed sheets were a delight to sleep in. The house makes very good food in great portions. Both breakfast and dinner were very tasty. It’s super silent at night. The room and bathroom was exceptionally clean. There was aircon and a silent fan available in the room. This was the best place I stayed at in 2 months. If only they had WiFi coverage near the rooms as you get almost no cellphones signal. That was the only thing which keeps me from staying longer. Highly recommend this place!

Great location where you can really relax. Rohan and his staff are very welcoming and helpful. The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom and the terras was a very nice place to relax and enjoy the evening. The food was good, we enjoyed the local dishes!

Sehr herzliche und liebe Gastgeberin die auch gerne mit Tipps weiterhilft. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und äußerst abwechslungsreich. Hier werden auch individuelle Wünsche gerne berücksichtigt. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und geräumig. Wer Glück hat, kann beim Frühstück ein paar Äffchen beobachten. Absoluter Pluspunkt für uns war,dass Ingrid deutsch spricht was die Kommunikation unheimlich erleichtert hat. Englisch ist allerdings auch kein Problem. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
