Shoe Cream Inn, a large, single-building rental inn located in the heart of Higashikawa.Cammore Ski Resort is a 5-minute drive away, Kitron, the town's hot spring facility, is a 7-minute drive away, 7-Eleven is a 30-second walk away, Sentopia Library is a 2-minute walk away, Rishiri Izakaya is a 5-minute walk away, and On the Table Restaurant is a 6-minute walk away. We lovingly renovated a large, 110-square-foot one-story home, complete with 1970s furniture, and turned it into an inn.Inside the house, meticulously crafted by a Japanese carpenter, a white table made in the Netherlands, dining chairs made in Hungary, a glass coffee table made in Italy, and a Japanese audio system have been carefully selected and arranged. “Treasure good things and use them for a long time.”I'm sure that will be beneficial for both the planet and us. In Japan, “Cream Puff” is pronounced “Shoe Cream.”This inn's story began when my second son looked at the exterior of the building and said, “It looks like Shoe Cream.” Take your time and enjoy Higashikawa-cho, the town in the photo, which serves as a gateway to the snowy mountains and a hub for food and cultural exchange, as well as the Shoe Cream Inn, created to allow you to stay as if you lived there.

Rokkenan, a house with a traditional Japanese sunken fireplace, 1 minute by car to Hiburi Ski Resort (limited to 1 group per day)

Rokkenan is a simple inn surrounded by nature. There are no private houses within 100 meters, so you can enjoy a relaxing time. During the day, you can hear the birds chirping, and it is blissful to spend a relaxing time rocking in hammocks. If you're lucky, you might even see wild birds, deer, foxes, raccoons, and other wildlife. Because it is a natural environment, there are also various insects. Rokkenan is perfect for nature lovers. On a clear day, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Daisetsuzan mountain range. Hiking in the summer and skiing or snowboarding in the winter with its high-quality powder snow. Rokkeian is about 300 m from the ski resort and about 200 m from the hot spring facility, so you can reach them on foot. The hot springs after enjoying winter sports are exceptional. The room is a Japanese-style room with tatami mats and is equipped with a traditional Japanese sunken fireplace, so you can enjoy a barbecue indoors. Enjoy your meal in the old-fashioned Japanese style. Relax with a rustic, extraordinary experience in the countryside. Pets are welcome. This log house is a 15-minute drive from Asahikawa Airport and a 3-minute walk from Kita-Biei Station. From the window you can see the melancholy single-wire train. The loft has manga, books, a collection of Ghibli puzzles made by the owner, and a projector to enjoy movies and anime on a big screen. In summer and autumn, you can also enjoy barbecues outside. Cooking appliances are also available, so you can easily buy ingredients and cook. The owner is nearby, so if you have any questions, I am always available to help. There are dogs, cats, goats, ducks, and chickens. If you're lucky, you might be able to interact with them. Breakfast usually includes rice balls. You can stay with peace of mind even if you are alone. The price shown is for 4 people. If you are alone, the price will be 1/4 of the price shown. Of course, 2 or 3 people are welcome. A 50-year-old house that was renovated in the summer of 2019. All furniture, such as beds and tables, are new. You can also enjoy the natural scenery surrounded by rice fields. If the weather is good, you can see Mt. Taisetsuzan. The water that comes out of the faucet is underground water from Mt. Taisetsuzan. It is safe and delicious drinking water that has undergone water quality testing. You can use the grand piano (YAMAHA C3X espressivo). Parking for up to 4 cars is available free of charge.
