We had an amazing stay in Weligama. The house is really beautiful, brand new, and very well designed. The garden is a real highlight, well-kept with stunning trees, animals that make the place even more enjoyable, and a pond where birds come to rest. It’s truly a little paradise. The only downside is that the house is a bit far from Weligama (about 15 minutes by car), where you’ll find all the attractions, restaurants, and the beach. But it didn’t spoil our experience at all. What really made our stay even more special was Lal, the housekeeper. He took great care of the garden, cleaning, and maintenance of the house, and he was always available if we needed anything. He also gave us great tips for exploring the area. We were lucky enough to meet his family, who invited us to drink coconut water and eat a cake. They are incredibly kind, and that moment will stay with us forever. We highly recommend this property – it’s a wonderful place to stay in Weligama!

super nice place to have for yourself. Take time to yourself while being close to the center of both Weligama and Mirissa. Both are easy to reach with a tuktuk or bus within 10 min. Sahan was super friendly and also his father helped us to all our wishes. The house was clean and atmospheric. The rooms were spacious, the pool was great and was cleaned every day.

Staying at this incredible wooden cottage on Koggala Lake was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome and at home — their warmth and hospitality truly set the tone for the entire stay. A special shoutout to Yohan, whose help and attentiveness were simply amazing and made everything even more seamless. The cottage itself is beautifully constructed, giving off a fantastic homely vibe with stunning views of the lake. The team even torched the gardens for us in the evening, creating a magical, serene atmosphere. The pool was always clean, inviting, and accessible — a perfect spot to unwind whenever we wanted. All our basic needs were thoughtfully and thoroughly taken care of, making the entire experience completely stress-free. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality, this place is an absolute gem. Can’t recommend it enough!

A very clean and cosy villa located a short walk from the beach. Close to many surf-schools and restaurants. Sahan was a great host and ensured everything was clean.

Our stay was wonderful! We went for a short vacation for my birthday. Me and my friends had a great time here. The property was so calming and peaceful. The place was more than true to the photos. It was beautiful to the naked eye. A highlight of our trip is that the staff were so kind and service was excellent. We definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a getaway and wants to be immersed in nature.

We were a group of 4 friends and had booked the entire Ventana Mirissa property — and it turned out to be an absolutely amazing experience! The villa was neat, clean, and very well-maintained. The highlight of our stay was definitely the private pool, which was just perfect for relaxing and hanging out together. A special mention goes to Maleesh, the property caretaker. He was incredibly helpful, polite, and always available whenever we needed anything — whether it was guiding us with local tips, or simply making sure we were comfortable. The villa also has proper parking space within the property, which made things really convenient for us as we had our own vehicle. Overall, Ventana Mirissa exceeded our expectations — peaceful location, great hospitality, and a beautiful space that felt like home. Highly recommended!

Soul House was a great find, being close enough to the beach and town in Ahangama but also sufficiently removed in a very green and peaceful neighbourhood that also included other walkable dining options. The team on site led by Himasha were very helpful with all our requests. As a relatively large group of nine the villa was still big enough with the master bedroom large enough to sleep upto four, despite being a four-bedroom villa.

Overall we had a great experience, was there for my bachelorette and the staff really put up with us. Only complaints- a few of the lights and fans were not working and were not fixed. We were definitely given tap water, one of the can was filled with tap water, I’m assuming they ran out of water in the night and one of the staff had no choice but to serve us that. Would still give the stay a 5 star review was the host was kind enough to help with local recommendations and the staff was there to help whenever asked.
