Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Kangaroo Island

Great spot to stay. As advertised it had plenty of room for our family of 6. Such a cracking area to stay. Less than 20 minutes walk to the beach.

Lovely couple of days spent on Emu Bay. Well equipped accommodation with a fabulous ocean view from the rear porch. Koalas in the tree out front and an echidna touring the garden. Christine kept in contact and gave us heaps of useful information.

Had a wonderful few days here with my dog. A beautifully kept place with an enormous yard for my dog to explore. Beautiful outlook of the back yard from the deck which was a great place to enjoy breakfast with the sounds of birds. Hosts were very prompt and helpful in their responses. Highly recommended.

Fantastic communication. Wildlife visitors each night. Nice and secluded surrounded by just enough bush land but at the same time short walk to the beach to enjoy the sunset. We will be back Thanks Christine

Consider us officially in love with Kangaroo Island, truly a beautiful and unspoiled part of Australia, that was a privilege to see. Kingscote was the perfect base, and Little Koboda had everything you could want and more. Jess communicated well, and her advice was spot on.... absolutely no regrets about this booking, can recommend KI and Little Koboda with confidence. 😊😊😺

Plenty of space in this house - large bedrooms and tv in main room. Missed not having electric blankets or a dishwasher but the house stay warm enough with the heater in the ceiling of the main room. Interesting how both the main bathroom and ensuite were at the same end of the house. A secure backyard if we had taken our dogs with us. No beach view but lovely to see/hear a variety of birds.

Nice little getaway if you’re looking for somewhere quiet (as we were!). Some beautiful empty beaches just a short stroll away and barely saw another person at any of them, which was great for our dogs and kids to explore. Really close to Penneshaw too, so a great spot to use as a base for day trips around the island. House isn’t the fanciest with all the mod cons, but it’s emblematic of the quiet little seaside town and what we were looking for.

After a month of travelling around the country, we arrived in this wonderfull house. A place to stop and rest. It is just marvellous to wake up in such a place, the view is splendid. The guests are available if you need anything. We have been there with friends and family, the house is very beautiful and well organised. I could just recommend it! :) Céline, From Belgium

Great location for us golfers. Good house layout for us. Plenty of books, pool table and table tennis board. Didn't spend a lot of time there because we had the Australian Senior Golf Tounament, but it was good to sit on the balcony and admire the view.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Amanda went above and beyond and was extremely responsive. The place was lovely. Everything as described and kitchen was very well stocked with all necessary utensils, appliances etc. The pool was great and we all had a wonderful time. Lots of yummy food options nearby. This cottage was so charming and unique, a great place to stay whilst visiting the island. Walkable to shops, ferry and beach, beautiful location, and we loved the interior courtyard. Thanks!

Just finished our stay at the Rusty Shak and we are sad that it's over. The place was perfect. Exactly how it was described. An ideal little getaway for a couple to enjoy a romantic weekend away. Great value for money. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows, fluffy towels. Well equiped kitchen with all you need to cook for two. Great outdoor area with firepit to cozy up with a glass or two of wine and a BBQ to cook up a storm. Love love love the outdoor bath. Decor is beautifully presented and easy in the eye. Reverse cycle aircon to keep you comfy in any weather. Our stay was enhanced with all the little extras Katrina included, from the bubble bath to the cute yummy muffins, the full breakfast ready for us to cook and a lovely bottle of wine to enjoy by the fire. Katrina has really thought about what makes a great getaway. Great place to stay to enjoy exploring the South. Would highly recommend a stay at the Rusty Shak. I know we will be back in the future.

One of the best accommodations/locations I’ve stayed. Cosy cottage feel alongside million dollar views. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay and will definitely be rebooking. Extremely friendly welcome with a great pub close by. Anyone that visits the island would be daft to pass up a stay at the cottage. With the warmest of regards

This is a perfect little beach shack, a stone's throw from the water. it has all the comforts you need. In particular, we found the beds really comfortable. We had an issue with hot water which Amanda addressed promptly and even compensated us more than she needed to. American river is a gorgeous sleepy town and a great place to explore the rest of the island from. Would definitely stay here again!

A great place to stay if you want a peaceful location close to a nice town and beautiful beaches. We really enjoyed Bretts cabin as a base to explore the island. It’s well equipped for cooking, great bathroom and deck to sit out in the evening and watch the stars with a glass of wine. Brett is a really nice guy and very helpful with recommendations and advice. His dog Chase is very friendly too!

We stayed here with family and friends for my birthday, and it is now my favourite airbnb ever!! The surroundings were so beautiful, and the house itself was so cozy and beautifully decorated. Would 100% reccomend for anyone planning a getaway with family and friends!! We hope to come back again! (the cows were adorable) (thank you tiarnie)
