Satoyama Chokotto Farming Experience! KOMINKA HOTEL, a house for all seasons

At KOMINKA HOTEL Shiki no Ie, with the cooperation of local farmers, we offer a "Satoyama Short Farming Experience" that you can enjoy for 2-3 hours before check-in. Depending on the season, you can experience seasonal farm work such as digging sweet potatoes, rice harvesting, helping with rice planting, harvesting vegetables, planting seedlings, weeding, and sorting harvested produce. I will do it while learning from the farmer. The time spent touching the soil, talking to local people, and learning about where food is grown creates special memories that are hard to find in the city. After the experience, you may be able to take a small amount of seasonal vegetables, etc. as a souvenir. The charm of this plan is the satoyama meal, which is freshly prepared in the kitchen of Shiki-no-Ie and enjoyed in a traditional Japanese house. By combining a stay in a 130-year-old traditional house surrounded by nature with an experience of local life, you can enjoy a warm time on your trip that you can't get just by visiting tourist destinations. Built 130 years ago, the renovated old private house "Shiki no Ie" is quietly located in the Tsunahashi area of Misaka-cho, in the eastern part of Gifu Prefecture. It is an old private house inn where you can feel the changing seasons with your skin, overlooking a pure stream and calm fields through the large cherry trees in front of you, with a rich natural forest behind it. While retaining the tasteful appearance of the old house, such as the exterior and beams, the functions necessary for comfortable accommodation, such as the water circulation and bedrooms, have been improved, and the old Japanese charm and modern, high-quality space have been combined.
