This is a traditional two-story Japanese-style building featuring a full-fledged Japanese garden. My husband's ancestors built this house about 100 years ago, and it has been renovated several times over the years to its current state.Four years ago, we completely renovated our kitchen, bathroom, and living room. The property is spacious, covering 1,270 square meters (enough for 4–5 tennis courts).You can enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay. BBQ🍖. Table tennis🏓, darts🎯.It is suitable for families, friends, and groups, such as handheld fireworks. In 2023, we added an on-site parking lot🅿️.We can park about six cars. If you are using a car navigation system, please search for “Shinohara Home Service.”OSAHOUSE is behind it.Walk along the narrow path to the right of “Shinohara Home Service” for about 10 meters, and you will find the OSAHOUSE dedicated parking lot. 160-year-old renovated kominka house. 2300 m² site, 170 m² building.

We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home. Take a big, deep breath and refresh yourself from the heart. ●Here’s what you need to know · There are many mosquitoes and insects because there is a garden with many trees. If you don't like insects, it may be difficult to enjoy. The facility is located in a very quiet residential area. Please refrain from having loud conversations in the garden or on the deck after 8 pm.

Within 1 or 2 minutes walk from the station, there is a 24-hour convenience store, a bakery, a supermarket , and western and Japanese restaurants.

Itokuro Estate - Spacious Countryside Retreat

The Itokuro Estate is a historic Edo-era home built over 200 years ago. Newly renovated, it blends modern comfort with traditional Japanese architecture. Yumi and Yasumichi, the on-site caretakers, live in a separate area and do not share any living spaces or bathrooms with guests. They are available to assist guests and provide transportation to/from the local train station. Bicycles are available for the guests to explore the beautiful beaches and countryside of Itoshima.

This Japanese villa and garden, covering about 6,600 square meters, is located in Arita, a town famous worldwide for its pottery. The 130-year-old Villa Kaede, originally built as a guest house by a founder of Arita Bank, has been beautifully renovated. Visitors can enjoy a garden that showcases the changing seasons. The villa also serves as a convenient base for day trips to places like Nagasaki City, Unzen, Ureshino, Sasebo, Hirado, and Huis Ten Bosch.
