Welcome to the "Austernfischer" vacation rental. The apartment is one of 3 apartments in the vacation home "Lieblingsnest" (Favorite Nest). The "Lieblingsnest" is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in the municipality of Kating on the North Sea peninsula of Eiderstedt, not far from the Katinger Watt nature and bird sanctuary, the romantic harbor town of Tönning and the North Sea seaside resort of St. Peter-Ording. The special bird diversity of the Katingen Watt is the inspiration for the bright cozy feel-good oasis. I look forward to meeting you!

Dat Melkhus – North Sea air and sauna

North Sea air and sauna! Our detached vacation home "Dat Melkhus" was built in 1870 and is located in a small settlement with a quiet neighborhood. Here, at the turn of the century, butter was made by hand for the surrounding communities. Today, the once small house has been expanded to 140 square meters of living space and has been lovingly renovated by us since 2022. Perfect spot for relaxation, nature, cycling, golf, water sports and culinary delights. More information about the house can be found in the photos.

My wooden house is located in Kating - "Island of Peace"- near St. Peter Ording. Danish wooden houses, forest, water, Wadden Sea...On foot or take the e-bike on old dikes and paths. Stop at the old Schankwirtschaft Wilhelm Andresen and drink egg grog. Continue to Eidersperrwerk-Deutschland's largest waterworks - where guests from all over the world meet and strengthen themselves with coffee, cake and fish rolls. In the former stable, we have set up a modern loft apartment while maintaining the rustic charm of the room wherever possible. Here, the historic beam ceiling meets the stylish, heated concrete floor. In the center of Eiderstedt's main town, the historic harbor town of Tönning, located in the immediate vicinity of the harbor, all sights, from the Multimar Wattforum to the harbor with the packing house to the market with the St. Lawrence Church, are within walking distance.

Kleine Heimat

Slightly away from the tourist strongholds of St. Peter Ording and Büsum, the Kleine Heimat is located in the heart of the march in the municipality of Oesterwurth. The 80m² apartment was completely renovated in 2017 and is located in the walls of an old cabbage barn on the rear part of a 1,500m² plot. It has a separate entrance, a modern, fully equipped fitted kitchen, a spacious dining and living area and two bedrooms (1 large double bed + 1 bunk bed).

Feel at home in other rooms for a short time!

In the district town of Heide, 20 km from the North Sea, we offer part of our house as a complete, completely separate residential unit of approx. 120 m2 for max. 4 people. The apartment is located in a quiet residential street, about 15 minutes walk to the Heide center/market square and is very convenient as a starting point for walks in the moor, forest and for bike tours. Bikes can be stored and the car can be parked right outside the front door.

Historic thatched-roof house

The listed thatched roof skate is in the center of Albersdorf. This special accommodation has everything you need for a relaxing stay in the climatic spa, with its stone age park, in the heart of Dithmarschen. The house, with about 140 m2 of living space and an antique fireplace, is available for guests for their own use. From here, you can take many excursions to the North Sea (Büsum 30 and Speichererkoog in Meldorf 20 minutes by car, ...).

Cozy living in a separate apartment. Location: Our apartment is in the heart of the Eiderstedt peninsula on the Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast. St. Peter-Ording, the district towns of Husum and Heide are each only about 25 km away. The small port town of Tönning, (Eidermündung) has plenty of shopping and is only 3 km away. Here you will find a beach and a swimming pool. The Eiderstedt peninsula has a very good network of bike paths.

Maritime flair at the North Sea

Kating lies in the southwestern from North Friesland on the peninsula Eiderstedt, adjacent to the nature reserve Katinger Watt, 15 min. By bike the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea and Nature Reserve Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea. The building, which was completely renovated in 2020, is in an outdoor location and offers you a mile-long view of the Dutch town of Friedrichstadt on the large south terrace. End the day with a view of a unique sunset. Explore the area on extended bike tours or cool off in the natural swimming area 350 meters away. The nearby Treene river offers you a variety of leisure activities.

Small happiness - secluded location, sauna

Lovingly and thoughtfully, we have created a fantastic apartment on 70 square meters for 2 (up to 4) people on 2 levels - the sleeping area is located in the light-flooded upper floor. Please note that the only door is the bathroom door - the rest is open. We have tried to build as sustainably, ecologically and high-quality as possible - the colors are from the chalk period, the paints are water-based.
