Holiday houses in Kato Katelios

Makis was an absolute Superstar of a host! He even picked us up at the airport when we arrived and left 2 bottles of water and a lovely bottle of Greek wine in the fridge for our arrival. The Veranda suite is immaculate and Makis has thought about every level of detail. It is single handedly the best air B&B we have stayed at. The property is spotlessly clean, modern and tastefully designed. The balcony is massive and has a hot tub with the most stunning views over the bay. The bed is unbelievably comfortable and spacious. The property is located in a very peaceful location and it’s a lovely 10/15 min walk along the shore front into the main square (€7 for a taxi back at the end of the evening). We are already planning to come back next year as we had such a brilliant time!

our group of 9 didn’t want to leave this gorgeous villa. we would absolutely re-book! Zoi’s villa is peaceful and comfortable, convenient and appointed with many luxuries. the pool was the perfect temp for summer weather, our kids played all the games provided (chess, etc). we saw wild horses! the villa is a 3 minute drive or 15-20 minute walk to the Katelios beachfront row of eateries & shops. nightlife is fun & lively. the villa is also surrounded by lush landscape—grape vines, fig trees, pine trees, olive trees, and you can see the Ionian Sea from the villa. Zoi and Nektaria went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. responsiveness rate of 300%. communication was easy, *when* we needed to contact our host, but Zoi anticipated and prepared the house for every guest to have what they needed. we felt as if we were treated as family. Zoi & Nektaria were totally invested in our experience, to make it the best it could be. everything was beautiful.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Anemoni. It was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The housekeeping was perfect and more frequent than we expected. The location was great even if the walk into the village is steep on the way back! Certainly get to walk off the great meals out we had. Katelios is a small village but you are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out, Dreamcatcher and Maria’s proved to be favourites. All in all a wonderful, relaxing holiday, which we would be happy to recommend. Thank you

We had a great stay at this beautiful, peaceful villa. It looked just like the photos and had everything we needed, even some snacks and a bottle of wine on our arrival. The location was perfect. Stunning views from the pool, Isolated enough to feel quiet and private, but only a short drive to the beaches and restaurants. Our host was friendly and provided great recommendations for restaurants and things to do around the island. She also responded quickly when we had a minor issue and got it sorted right away. Much appreciated! It's worth noting that the advertised jacuzzi is not a hot tub, only jets in the unheated pool. We were slightly disappointed to discover this, but it did not detract from our stay at all

Daphnes was a little paradise, tucked away in the olive groves of the island. It was perfect in every way, very friendly and responsive host, lemons and cucumbers given to us from the owner’s amazing garden, walk to beautiful beach steep but definitely manageable.

We enjoyed staying ar Sea Apartment for 2 weeks in September. We had a hire car for the entire stay and would recommend this, however you could be fine just with taxi transfer if you prefer a more localised holiday. The beach and restaurants are fairly easy to walk to. Sea Apartment is beautifully located in semi-rural setting. Choice of two main sitting out balconies (these have table/chairs) meant we could enjoy uninterrupted views of hills on either side. This was superb. Forget any risk of blocked or unpleasant view of a busy road or car park as you can get with a hotel stay. Sea Apartment is an oasis of calm with privacy and glorious surrounding views. Inside, all was as expected. Decent cutlery, plates etc and everything you would want. Yes, agree with other reviewers about old fashioned shower/bathroom set up, which is in contrast to the rest of apartment but really it is just different to what most people are accustomed to, and not an issue. Would we stay again? Absolutely!

Villa Oli is a lovely, clean, bright villa with a welcoming pool and stunning views out towards the Ionian Sea and beyond. It is situated in natural surrounds with a stone stairway down to the entrance that we thought added to its charm and authenticity (in our opinion!). The villa itself is extremely well equipped and furnished very much in a contemporary but casual vibe. We would recommend a stay at Villa Oli to anyone wishing for a peaceful and quiet holiday. A small car is pretty essential for the trips up and down the hillside to visit the beaches, restaurants and shops etc. we had a fab time, hope you do too! The owners, Jeroen and Brigitta, are very friendly, helpful and responsive.

What a great find. We stayed for a week, having booked at relatively short notice. The house was ideal: clean, quiet and spacious, with air-conditioning (vital for 40c heat in August), WiFi and full kitchen facilities. The location is a small village so nice and quiet with plenty of on street parking, but only 5 minutes drive from a small beach town with shops, restaurants etc. The whole island can be driven one end to the other in 1:30, so we where not particularly focused on location, but it turned out great, with the aforementioned small town nearby for quiet days or early morning swims, Skala (larger town, lots of restaurants, shops and taverns plus large sandy beach) just 25 mins away, and some amazing quiet shingle beaches with rocks and lots of fish, ideal for snorkeling with a child that gets sand everywhere, just a further 5 mins up the coast. Our host was very friendly and welcoming, checking us in in-person, and available to contact via phone of messages if needed.
