Holiday houses in Kavango East Region

If you are looking for a unique and affordable place with self-catering options in the bush instead of in the city, this is the place for you. Just 2 months ago, Barbara opened the Container Village near Divundu. Our double room was just big enough to store our luggage and was equipped with everything we needed (e.g. a mosquito net). The shared bathroom was clean. The warm water supply needed to be requested, but the wood fired donkey quickly heated up the water. In the shared kitchen we found everything we needed and an electric cooler box with a little freezer compartment was provided for our food. Barbara has established a mobile clinic and provides medical support in rural areas with the help of medical volunteers from Germany and Switzerland. It was interesting to learn about this work and to hear some stories about their experiences. We can recommend the Container Village and will come back at our next visit. We had a wonderful stay at Amalia's place! The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Lots of space for our kiddies to play outside and we felt very safe. Safe overnight parking on the premises and a lovely garden to just sit in and have a chill. We will definitely go back!

Sampie's place was as described and more. It is located right on the Kavango River which flows majestically right under the deck we spent a lot of time on. The facilities are perfect for large family groups, even though we were just the two of us, we could imagine families really making the most of this stunning place. There is a swimming pool to keep the kids occupied and a TV with multiple channels, Netflix and the the like. The wifi is good. The standout for us was the shower!! It was stunning. If you are visiting this western end of the Caprivi Strip, we highly recommend Sampie's place. We would also like to mention that the kitchen was very well equipped, with everything one would need for self catering. Johannes and his wife were also fabulous, making sure we were well looked after and the venues were kept in order. Thanks for a lovely, relaxing stay.
