After a long, adventurous journey from Kigali via bus, moto-taxi, and boat, I arrived at this wonderful hotel. It's location on lake Ruhondo is enchanting, with breathtaking, commanding views of the volcanic mountains. Service was great, the food was excellent, and I enjoyed fresh fruit each morning, perfectly prepared. Take time to enjoy the friendly company of William, who is most helpful, kind, and willing to give you lots of tips. Please also do a tour with Fabien. He was an excellent tour guide with great knowledge of the area, the customs, traditions, food, plants, vegetation, and history. Enjoy the quiet, peaceful mountain views at sunrise or sunset, the serene lake, the quiet rooms. I recommend you to spend at least two nights here to take in all the beauty and friendly company. I also recommend you to contact William before arrival. He will ensure that the boat will be there for you to take you across lake Ruhondo with Captain Louis. Enjoy the journey and enjoy your stay.

This place is a hidden gem. The photos do not do the spectacular views of the lake and mountains justice. There are a perfectly manicured garden and a lovely sitting area to enjoy meals and take in the scenery. Communication with William was perfect. He and his staff pay careful attention to their guests’ needs and requests. The rooms are simple but clean and well worth the price, especially in this idyllic setting. Come check out Lake Ruhondo at this fantastic spot!
