The Bothy at Ivy Cottage

MelanieRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The Bothy was very cosy with a beautiful view. The most interesting part of Hadrian's wall with stunning walks and visits of ancient Roman sites as well as restaurants and Haltwhistle with shops, cafês, pubs were easy to reach by car. Fearga welcomed us warmheartily. She was very helpful and gave advice when needed. There was a large variety of breakfast options and Fearga equipped us generously. We would come again!

Hall Yards Cottage

TracyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cottage. The attention to detail and the welcome pack made us feel at home straight away. Even the dog was included with a blanket and water bowl. It’s in an excellent location to explore Hadrian’s Wall and the Roman forts, as well as Corbridge and Hexham, both worth a visit. These are only a short drive away from the village of Wall itself, which is very picturesque and peaceful. All in all we had a great break in a great place.

Manor House Byre

KateRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Would highly recommend a stay here - the Byre was beautifully decorated, clean and easy to find. It was perfect for working remotely and exploring the area by car. The location is easy to reach from Hexham and is set in a quiet village close to Kielder and the Scottish Borders. Kristen was also welcoming and friendly.

The Sandbed Airbnb

LornaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a lovely overnight at Ryans exploring the area. The flat is spotless and beautifully decorated. Really cosy, warm and comfy. We'd packed our own games, but Ryan also has plenty of these. Great TV too. Very thoughtful to have some water, milk, juice and biccies available. Easy to find, close to all the places we were going and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Railway Cottage in Bellingham, Northumberland

JimRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Fabulous little cottage! Well equipped and laid out. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. It is always the little touches that elevate the ‘good’ to excellent. Things like a welcome hamper, logs by the fire for guests to use (as well as some extra ones in the porch. Boxes in the porch for outdoor shoes. Good quality bed linen again made it obvious that thought and care had gone into the ‘look’ and the quality of presentation. Overall we thought it was an excellent little place. We didn’t get around to road testing the pubs and cafes, but they looked good. And, the village has a small family run brewery with a tap room. What could possibly go wrong 😂🤦🏼‍♂️. Definitely recommended and will return.

Lovely cozy cottage on a farm with a beautiful view from the veranda. Kind, hospitable hostess Susan had provided everything we needed and was a joy to chat with. My cat and I had a fabulous time exploring the grounds together. We would definitely stay again.

Westhills Byre

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Quirky barn conversion - cosy with a modern en-suite. There's a heater if you get cold and a map of local walks. The landscape is stunning and history enthusiasts are in for a treat - Iron Age hillforts, a burial mound and rock carvings within the grounds of the farm! Rachel was warm and friendly, and quick to respond whenever I sent a message. I'd say the only downside is that you do really need to be a car driver. A perfect place to get some nature therapy and recharge your batteries.
