The biggest attraction is the completely private spa area located right next to the creek that runs through the property. With a view of dynamic natural rock skin and deep greenery, the "semi open-air bath", and an authentic "sauna and water bath", you can ultimately spend a moment in mind and body. The luxurious outdoor living room is equipped with a BBQ grill and bioethanol fireplace.Enjoy a sophisticated space for adults, where you can have a BBQ amidst the fresh greenery during the day and be soothed by the flickering flames and the sound of the stream at night. Kita-Karuizawa is easily accessible from Tokyo, yet it offers the richness of nature brought by Mt. Limited to one group per day, Mökki is a small cottage with a garden by a stream

Mökki means "cottage" in Finnish. Spend your time in a special place surrounded by nature. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, a town blessed with forests, lakes and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, with a wealth of natural areas such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri and Togakushi nearby. You can freely use the comfortable building renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, the natural garden that creates seasonal scenery, and the forest where the stream flows.In the forest that we have been maintaining, you can see birds, squirrels, and marten, and you can enjoy strolling around looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. We also paid close attention to the interior design and kitchen utensils to make sure you can enjoy "living" in the space. At the gazebo by the stream, you can enjoy BBQ and campfires without worrying about the weather. It is ideal as a base for hiking, fishing, paddle boarding, and golf during the green season, and as a base for winter sports during the snow season. It is a calm space with a traditional Japanese house motif.The living room features a large kotatsu-style horiguri fireplace, perfect for enjoying meals and drinks.There is also a counter bar with four seats. With Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Shiga Kogen, Madarao Kogen Ski Resort, and Togari Onsen Ski Resort nearby, it's the perfect base for winter sports.During the green season, there are eight golf courses within a 30-minute drive, including Madarao Country Club, which is a 5-minute drive away, as well as numerous day-use hot spring facilities.The owner lives on the right side after going up the front entrance and can be contacted at any time. He understands English at the level of everyday conversation.During the green season, you can harvest fresh vegetables from our own farm at any time, and you can also enjoy a barbecue in the gazebo in the garden.The garden is also spacious, so you can enjoy a short walk or the like.Iiyama's specialty product is the famous green asparagus, which can be enjoyed from May to July. There is also a roadside station nearby where you can enjoy fresh vegetables and delicious soba noodles.

🍃 “Nüek” is a small, traditional kominka house located on the Kurohime Highland in Nagano, Japan, that has been renovated and is now available for rent as an entire property. The renovation was attended by Studio Sayapu led by Mr. Kitazawa, an artist based in Nagano.Focusing on Mr. Kitazawa's sensibilities, the company's craftsmen, who bring out the power of the old private house, have worked hard to create a space that is quietly sophisticated while making use of the charm. It is cool in summer and in winter you can enjoy skiing and snow views.Time passes as you gently prepare yourself while surrounded by nature. Instead of "a place to stay at the end of the trip", the accommodation itself becomes the destination of the trip. Enjoy a special time that can only be had at a small, secluded inn🏠🍃 ⸻

Enjoy the view of Lake Nojiri, with a private sauna, Anoie (あの家)

This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

A 1000 square meter private villa with 7 spaces. The entire "Rock Forest" has seven main concepts. We offer each "way of spending time". After procuring fresh ingredients locally, move to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and go up the stairs to bring the ingredients to the hearth space. You won't see any other people. It is 60 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and take a half-day off in the afternoon, for example. Surrounded by nature, you can relax and enjoy an extraordinary time. < Winter season November-March > The outdoor bath is closed during the winter months.
