By the beach self contained, one bedroom unit

Kick back and relish the surrounds of where the ocean meets the rain forest. Fully self contained unit situated a short drive from Mossman, the Daintree and Port Douglas. From the property it is a short 2 minute walk (down the driveway) to the beach. Our driveway is steep and can be slippery as times - please take caution. Unfortunately since Cyclone Jasper, beach access is limited across the road.

This place is beautiful, both the home and the area. Loved the walk down to the waterfall. The only negative was we lost power due to lack of sun for several days (home is off the grid and relies on solar). Host was very responsive even late in the evening and did everything possible to make us comfortable. Highly recommended.

It was the stay I really needed. It’s been rather stressful on a work and personal front lately and I needed a space to really unwind. Get out of the hustle and bustle and be present. Claire’s place allowed me to do just that. It was the perfect sanctuary to reconnect with the kids over cooking and movies, and the perfect launch pad to the best experiences FNQ has to offer. The beds are so comfy, I dozed off in less than 5mins after lying down- something I haven’t done in years. Amenities are super close by, we must’ve gone to the well-stocked supermarket daily! And of cos Prices Plus was good fun for the kids. I highly recommend Claire’s place- last but not least, she’s the hostess with the mostest. Always so prompt with big and small questions, and always accommodating.

The accommodation was so comfortable and super clean. The room had everything you needed plus more for a fantastic stay. The facilities are beautiful and relaxing with the highlight of the gardens and pool and delicious restaurant meals. Belinda was so friendly, easy to talk to and accommodating host. Absolutely fell in love with this little piece of paradise. Great hosts. Beautiful home even better than pics and description. Private and peaceful, a great base to do plenty of activities in surrounding areas. Newell beach only 10 minutes away, just as stunning as four mile beach with loads of privacy. House immaculate, bed super comfy, hot tub a treat after a day of exploring and fire pit an added bonus. The little details made the stay extra special. Cannot recommend this property enough, will definitely book again if up this way.
