In the evening, warm lighting soothes the heart and creates a special atmosphere. You can also BBQ or dine around the fireplace under the lights. Experience an extraordinary space with friends in this natural environment where you can see the stars in the sky. 　There are also plenty of sightseeing spots, such as the historic castle town of Iwamura, Japan Taisho Village, and Magome-juku, which has a nostalgic atmosphere. Recommended for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and connect with nature with their friends.

Spacious 221-year-old private house in the center of Tsumago-juku!

It is an old house built 221 years ago in the center of Tsumagojuku.The 20-tatami living room has an irori fireplace (currently unusable), and you can enjoy an old Japanese house.There are three bedrooms, so you can accommodate large groups with family, friends, etc.There is no food provided.You are welcome to use the full kitchen.At the end of the dirt from the front door, there is a backyard where you can wander freely.There is wifi and an automatic lifting table, so you can work remotely for long stays.Please have a relaxing time in this quiet old house.We look forward to hosting you ！

Ideal for hikers, it offers a bedroom, Wi-Fi, kitchen, theaterroom and bathroom. Walk 50 min (3km) to Tsumago-juku or hike 3 hours to Magome-juku. Enjoy Kiso River and mountain views. Near a bridge, park, supermarket (3 min), and convenience store (7 min). Notes: No smoking/pets. Train/car noise due to station proximity. Cold in winter, insects in summer.

Kusa no Niwa | 100-Year Machiya Lodge in Takayama

Kusa no Niwa is a traditional Japanese-style house with a courtyard and corridors that was built more than 130 years ago. The entire house with a size of 100 square meters will be lent privately to a single group with a maximum capacity of 6 persons. You will find a fusuma, a sliding door with a paper panel, painted by a famous Japanese Painter, which can be also found in the Taue’s House, an Important Cultural Property, located in Nyukawa Town.

Yado Hakuguri 板倉の宿 白栗 -Tiny guest house-

This accommodation is a private rental, limited to one group per day. Itakura no Yado Shirakuri is a small old traditional house inn started by an owner who loves traditional houses. Itakura was relocated from the foot of Mt. Norikura and opened in June 2016. I hope that you will be able to feel the atmosphere of Itakura which is not found in everyday life. We would be pleased if you do.
