Aokaques-cozy antique house

TakahikoRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was such a lovely family! The tea fields stretch out right in front of the house, the air is fresh, and the view is beautiful. The 200-year-old house is solidly built, and although much of the interior remains original, it has been beautifully renovated. The futons were very comfortable — the comforter was light yet warm, making it easy to sleep even on a slightly chilly night! His cooking is first-class — it felt like a hidden gem of a restaurant. The matcha cheesecake was absolutely amazing.

My partner and I had such a nice stay here. The host and his family were very kind and welcoming to us, treating us so warmly as guests in their home. The house is very pretty and in a great location for relaxing in nature, seeing the green tea industry, and enjoying the serenity of a small countryside town. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, friendly experience.

Tajimi Guest House 円空

DylanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The space was beautiful and very tranquil. Backs onto a river and is incredible peaceful. It is very out of the way and inconvenient to get to. Enkuu offered an onsen pass which took over an hour to walk to. And is cash only. (Please note) Just do your research for surrounding activities before you book. Nonetheless, a very beautiful home

Yanagiya at castle town:private room A, 6 tatami

JonathanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This is a great place to stay - Yukie-san was very helpful and kind and the location is perfect for walking, cycling and exploring. There's a great place to eat (and drink!) called Tono just around the corner too! The former dying workshop has been very well restored as accommodation. There are e-bikes available to rent for a very nominal fee too. I hope to come again.

We had a very pleasant time! Thank you for being flexible with the check-in time! It was a very good environment, rich in nature and refreshing. This time it was a hectic stay, but I liked Shizuoka so much that I want to go more slowly next time☺️

Rally Japan Ena SS the nearest inn

Thank you very much. Both couples were very kind and learned a lot about hospitality. My mistake made the mistake of picking me up at the wrong station, but they were flexible. The food is really delicious and the service is great.😳 Thank you very much!

A guest house in a traditional house that is over 150 years old

ZoltánRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Staying here was truly unforgettable. The house itself was one of the most unique and beautiful places we’ve ever stayed in — full of traditional charm and peaceful atmosphere. But what made our experience truly special were our incredible hosts, Miki-san and Mariko-san. Their kindness and generosity were simply unbelievable. We had the chance to enjoy many “firsts” during our stay: we experienced our very first tea ceremony, led and taught by them with so much care and knowledge. We also wore kimonos for the first time in our lives — and not just any kimonos, but stunning pure silk ones, which made the whole experience even more meaningful. We are deeply grateful for everything. This stay was far more than just accommodation — it was a cultural journey guided by two truly wonderful people.

Experience country life in a 130-year-old house in the mountains

KazuoRating, 5 stars3 months ago
I had a great stay that I can only do here. The host is an architectural researcher, but he is passionate not only about architecture, but also for research on public baths and the town of Toei-machi. They stayed with me late at night and shared a story about the town of Higashiei-machi that I could not hear elsewhere.I was very impressed by the rich experience. I was somewhat thinking that I wanted to contribute to the town where I was from in the future, but the host's perspectives, experiences, practical efforts, and ways of thinking were very helpful, and I was able to learn a lot. This stay was a valuable experience for me as well as the whole family. The children also learned a lot through this trip. The host carefully listened to the children's stories early in the morning and told us how to use the fireplace, which was a valuable experience for the children. The children said, "I enjoyed staying at this inn the most!"I had a memorable time. I spent time in front of a warm wood-burning fireplace, and the toast of breakfast was tens of times more delicious than usual. We had a one-of-a-kind experience for our entire family to grow and learn. I also enjoyed sightseeing in Aichi Prefecture such as Ghibli Park, but the children "I enjoyed spending time at this inn the most!"It states. This experience has been an incredible memory for our family, and we feel that everyone has grown.Thank you so much for your heartwarming hospitality.Would love to visit again!
