Holiday rentals with beach access in Koloa

We wanted a space in the middle of Kauai with nearby beach, restaurants, and only 90 minute drive as far as you can go to either the Tunnels Beach or Polihale. We mostly traveled to the less touristy beaches during the day and spent the evenings swinging on the porch swings looking at the beach between the AirBNB and the Hyatt each evening. Great space for 2 with separate bedroom and living room for couples that get up at 2 different times and a washer dryer so we could bring clean clothes home. Great kitchen with all the upgraded supplies. 2 walkable coffee shops and restaurants less than a mile away. We stayed at the Four Seasons Maui the week before and although we really, really enjoyed the understated luxury, we liked Kauai and this space better. Thanks for a great week!

I enjoyed our stay. Sometimes parking could be somewhat annoying after 8pm but we never not found a spot, sometimes it just wasn’t as close to our lodging. The place was clean and as advertised. The beach equipment was very useful!

Great little place. I enjoyed my stay here. It is small but I knew that going in. The kitchen feels spacious and is well equipped. Thanks for the goodies and the flowers! The bed is very comfortable. It is a bit noisy early in the morning (roosters and vehicles) but I slept fine after the first night. Thank you for everything!

My wife and I stayed 4 nights. It has a very beautiful yard. Was spotless inside and near all the North Shore attractions. Adam was very pleasant to talk with. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and Alex’s place was great for our stay! The place was clean and close to many shops and restaurants. We enjoyed walking to get coffee across the street and eating at the local spots. It was well stocked with anything you’d need for a beach day. The mattress in the master bed was also a little stiff and I wish it was closer to the beach or had a closer beach view, but it is within a few minutes walk of a nearby beach. Overall, it’s centrally located in the south shore and I’d recommend to stay in this place!

I honestly can’t think of a better location to stay in Kauai. Kapaa is ideally located for traveling either north or south and a short distance from Lihue. The condo is right on the beach across a short walkway and the view is spectacular. We loved the sound of the waves in the night. Also, it’s next to the pool and a 2 minute walk from restaurants and stores. Josie was super responsive to our questions and everything went smoothly. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

We love the sand suite! It was large and clean. It is super close to some little shops and unreal views! Obviously we are in Hawaii so it is humid in the space. The couch in the front room isn’t very comfortable to relax on so it would be nice to have more seating options. The bed was so comfortable and it did stay nice and cool in there. We loved staying here and look forward to visiting again!

Great place! The area is very scenic and walkable with the beach steps away! We loved watching the waves and walking along the beach. The lanai had some nice views as well & it is very peaceful to sit there in the evenings :) This place was perfect for just the two of us and we had what we needed to enjoy our time in Kauai! I would add that the chickens congregate in the area and tend to make their voices heard come early morning (very common in Kauai I believe) - light sleepers might want to consider some loops or ear plugs :) Thanks Bryant & Jane!

Devaki was such a sweet and awesome host. Perhaps the best location in Hanalei Bay. 100 foot walk to beach and less than a quarter mile walk to town.

We really did enjoy our stay here, it was easy to check in and it’s about a mile away from some very delicious restaurants and shops. The rec center is down the street and the pictures are as described. Brandon is very responsive and quickly answers your questions and gives useful information. The cottage was quaint, clean, and very cozy and relaxing. It was very clean, however I did have an issue with some things that weren’t thoroughly cleaned and wiped down. I’m very particular as I’m very allergic to dust so I mentioned this to Brandon and he offered to have his cleaner go back and fix the spots that weren’t thoroughly cleaned missed. However it wasn’t anything major as I’m just picky. The kitchen and bedrooms were immaculate and looked brand new. There are tons of supplies in the house and in the garage, which I loved. Brandon was so kind, due to this issue the owner came by and gave my kids candy and a book to read. It was very thoughtful and sweet. Overall great experience.

Nice spot for a family of 5 on an island adventure. the seacoast is a short walk and along the coast there is a hiking (or trail running) trails that can go 5+ miles. we never used the beach in front of the nearby hotel as it is rough, but walked to and snorkel at Poipu. the house has games, and a private backyard.

We stayed our last night in Kauai at Jake's place, and it was nice to have somewhere very close to the beach while still feeling very private and peaceful. The only noises heard were the chickens. They have air conditioning as well, which made for a comfortable sleeping situation after having spent the last week in an un-air conditioned space that at times felt too warm and humid to be comfortable. We didn't make use of the kitchen, but it was a nice space. Not sure about the pans/dishes but the sitting area was comfortable. The bathrooms were nice a clean, and the beds were comfortable. We did book this last minute, and so we felt that the rate was well worth the amenities and comfort.

100% recommend!!!! This is a beautiful home, well decorated, airy, and has lush landscaping with ample fruit trees and colorful tropical plants. What my husband and I found most helpful was the ease in which we could travel as a family using this Airbnb, being allowed to use the bikes to ride to Queens Bath or to get Hawaiian ice, use the wagon to haul beach chairs and towels that are provided for use, use the dumbbells and yoga mats to maintain our morning routine, having the amenities to make breakfast and dinners, and dining outside around the patio as a family. The accommodations felt peaceful and relaxing as well as remarkably comfortable and luxurious. We were easily able to enjoy Hanalei beach and Tunnels beach nearby. Natalie was a superb hosts and we would undoubtedly recommend this Airbnb to others visiting the area.

Kurt was a great host! Clear communication and easy instructions to follow. The whole process was seamless and stress free. They have instructions waiting for you when you arrived. If it wasn’t for their tip on how single lane bridges work, I would have been so confused. Beautiful views and great location. Will definitely book again when I make another trip to Kauai.

We had a great time here! We loved the location next to the Grand Hyatt and all that they have to offer. You can walk to shipwreck beach 5-10 min. Geralyn was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. it was hard for us to find a place last minute that would accommodate 7 guests. this place worked out great it's just the right amount of beds. if you are looking to stay in Poipu/Koloa this is a great option. We loved all the beach gear available for use in the garage. Very convenient. Hope to be back again sometime in the future.

Giselle’s home was perfect for 6 persons. Each of the bedrooms were well appointed with comfortable mattresses, pillows and clean white linens. The bathrooms were well stocked with plenty of towels, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer. We cooked most of our meals. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking- appropriate pans, utensils, plenty of dishes and refrigerator storage containers. The dishwasher and washer and dryer came in very handy. Giselle has beach toys for children and there were spokes and flippers for snorkeling and two bicycles for a quicker ride to the beaches (which were many in number and very walkable.) Giselle gave us great information about the best beaches and we had a fascinating tour of Richard’s coffee roastery where he roasts and ships the coffee beans for his business: Kauai Roastery. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolute paradise! The house had everything our family needed, beautiful views and the air conditioning was much appreciated on the hot days. The location is wonderful with a very short walk to great restaurants, a beautiful beach, and access to the athletic club across the street that gave our little ones fun for hours with the resort style pool. We hope to stay here again in the future! Many thanks to Derek for his friendly and proactive communications and a great stay at this beautiful spot!

Rudy’s place was fantastic! It was clean and just as described. Others mentioned the road noise in their reviews, but we didn’t notice it at all and felt it was quiet. The location is fantastic! Rudy and Rose went above and beyond when they found out we were there for our honeymoon. They were super responsive and also provided local recommendations when asked. Would stay there again! The unit is near a small shopping complex and wonderful local coffee place. It was walkable to many great restaurants as well! I would recommend this unit to family and friends as well!

This was our first visit to Kauai and this spot was perfect! It was great for me and my husband and our 13 year old twins. We had plenty of space, the kitchen and washer/dryer were great amenities. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony every morning and the view was lovely. Location great for all activities we engaged in. Enas was a responsive host and the car was an added convenience! We would certainly stay again! Thank you!

The view!! We watched turtles from the lanai, and beautiful sunrises. And the surroundings were dark enough to see a gorgeous night sky when it was clear. The condo was spacious and clean. Bed was super comfortable, as was the living room furniture. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beach chairs and umbrellas provided. Easy walk to several beaches, short drive to several others. Walked over to the Beach House for happy hour. Close to restaurants and shops. Really enjoyed our stay!

The location was perfect. We enjoyed listening to and looking at the ocean while eating breakfast each morning. The bed was comfortable. The place was clean and conveniently located. We walked to the beach to snorkel. I highly recommend Maureen's place.

Dian was very responsive. The condo was clean and as described. Our family really appreciated that the condo had beach chairs, umbrella and the cart to carry everything. We highly recommend Dian as a host and this condo!!

We had a great time in Koloa. Poi’pu beach was easy to get to and the room had everything we needed including chairs with cooler pockets, ice packs, umbrella, and water toys. The room was at the top of the hill and up 3 flights of stairs so maybe not for people who don’t like to walk but it was close to shopping and the community center directly across the street. My only complaint was that there was no AC so the room was too warm in the afternoon to hang out in there. This is very common in Hawaii and I knew that, so I blame myself for not paying better attention. There were ceiling fans and floor fans that we left on with windows open all day and it cooled down at night so sleeping wasn’t an issue. The bed was big and very comfortable. I appreciated that there were lots of hangers to hang all my clothes up too. All in all it was a fantastic trip and we will be back again.
