It is used as a mat (mushiro) and a tool for purification in Shinto rituals such as at Izumo Taisha Shrine. We hope you have a pleasant trip to this inn. When you pass through the tunnel of autumn leaves (maple), the inn surrounded by trees appears, and the surroundings are very quiet. It is an area where birds (woodpeckers, cuckoos, thrushes, etc.) and animals (flying foxes, foxes, deer, hares, etc.) coexist and thrive. Please forget your daily worries and relax so that the birds are not startled. The tap water at Macomo comes from the beautiful water source of Shioi Shrine. 川辺の一軒宿 Togu tsubakiyama

We have set check-out by 2 PM so that you can enjoy your stay. It is a private room in a renovated traditional house on a property surrounded by trees, located on a stone wall where two rivers converge. There are no buildings in sight, and you can enjoy the sound of the river, the sound of birds, and a sense of unity with nature. The water is spring water (water quality has been inspected). Depending on the season, there are people who come and go along the river next to the inn, aiming to play in the river and go to Kappa Falls. If the weather is good, you can enjoy playing in the river, as well as a BBQ and campfire (depending on the season and weather, you may need to refrain) with the ingredients you bring. (Please be careful when handling fire.) Rest assured, we also have cookware, a microwave, and dishes. If you walk upstream along the riverside path, you will find Kappa Falls about 150 meters ahead. Please prepare food and drinks for dinner, etc., before check-in.(It's about a 20-minute drive to the supermarket) Only the 400m section to the inn is narrow and difficult to see, Once you arrive at "Camu Tsubaki-yama", we will show you around.

We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home. Take a big, deep breath and refresh yourself from the heart. ●Here’s what you need to know · There are many mosquitoes and insects because there is a garden with many trees. If you don't like insects, it may be difficult to enjoy. The facility is located in a very quiet residential area.
