Rainforest Retreat

This place truly felt like a home away from home. It had all the comforts and amenities you look for in an extra comfortable stay while traveling, we were especially grateful for the washer and dryer and the TV that auto-logged us out of our streaming services upon checkout which is always an annoying thing to forget. It was supremely clean, in a beautiful area, and Julia was responsive and helpful. We only wish we had stayed here more than one night!

Guava Ohana

PerryRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This was the perfect R&R space for my friend and I after a very stressful day of travel - the space was amazing, the host was incredibly kind and communicative (even brought us fresh eggs one morning!) and the nature around the tiny home was simply beautiful.

Country Guest Home

We had such a peaceful stay here. 🌿 The place was super clean, well-stocked, and you can hear coqui frogs at night. The benches all around the house were such a sweet touch and I wish we had more time to just sit and eat on the beautiful property surrounded by a well-maintained garden. The host’s dad lives in the front house and was kind and responsive. When he saw we had a baby he brought us a whole bag of extra bedding. It felt safe, simple, and amazing value overall. Would definitely stay here again! ☀️

House sit ( Kitty feed) /Whale watching/snorkeling

Beautiful oasis with a great beach to walk down to. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we loved that beach! It was so peaceful and the waves were often mellow. It is a bit of a drive into Kona, about 45 minutes. There is a lot to do near the house but to get to white sandy beaches you have to go about 1.25 hours away. The house was great. Clean and open. Neighbors are loud at times but mostly quiet. When they are loud though it is really loud. Overall lovely place and great value.

Kona Joe Coffee #1

Amazing place that is exactly as pictured! We arrived at night and it was a little hard to find. There aren’t lights around so be aware of that if you are arriving at night. Also, it’s on a slant and you can only enter from the back door so you walk over mud and grass to get to the door. It can be a bit tricky and messy. If you aren’t ok with a few bugs (you are surrounded by beautiful nature), this place might not be for you. The place was clean and the view to wake up to was absolutely gorgeous! So peaceful. A unique place to stay! Mahalo!

Illuminated Garden Studio

TreyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Staying at the Illuminated Studio was a phenomenal experience. I spent a week there and I loved every minute. It is off the grid with no WiFi and a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. The hosts do live on the property with their extremely well behaved, fun children as well as two other people, yet this still felt extremely private for me. The outdoor shower was awesome as was falling asleep listening to the nature sounds. This is in a more remote, local part of the island and the hosts will truly share their aloha with you and you will have an experience that is most memorable. Aloha.

2 miles from Pololu - Keokea Dome Garden Retreat

StephenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was a perfect getaway! Naomi’s retreat is in a quiet neighborhood with relaxed towns close by that have everything that you need. While we need to travel a bit to get to a sandy beach, we really didn’t mind and even looked forward to the drive as the scenery is beautiful. The retreat is very well supplied with plenty of towels, beach chairs, a cooler, plenty of books and kitchen appliance (the rice cooker was a savior)! Overall, we couldn’t imagine much of a better place or location. Would definitely (and hopefully!) stay again, thanks Naomi!
