Could we make an exception and give six stars instead of five? It's only been a couple hours since we checked out, but we are already missing 4Cs. The hospitality of the host family is amazing. That's really the difference maker. The tranquil location on a plantation is unbeatable. Such professional staff. The food: Variety (including curry from the fruits of a 300-year-old Jackfruit tree on the plantation) + very tasty + amazingly affordable.The friendly dogs, Sanju and Ninja, accompanied us on long walks during our 10-day long stay. We enjoyed the rain & the sunshine reflected off those rain washed leaves. Such a serene location. Clean. Shower with very hot water, good pressure. We appreciated the paid Laundry service. As we think about it, this is among the top five in the hundred or so Airbnbs that we stayed in around the world. It's like we are leaving family. And I don't think we can say anything more than that

I usually don’t write reviews or make recommendations, but this place truly deserves it. It turned out to be much better than I had imagined—from the beautiful surroundings to the thoughtful construction and design of the property, everything exceeded my expectations. If you’re caught up in a busy office schedule and looking for a peaceful retreat, this is the place to be. Stay for a few days, disconnect, relax, and just soak in the calm. It’s a perfect spot to reflect, recharge, or even spend time meditating. I’ve already recommended it to my friends and will definitely be visiting again!

Amazing views in stays, this villa is rather inside and doesn’t offer the mountain views but the villa is as described in the picture and very nice pool and great place to hang around and also close by to madikeri. checkin was smooth and caretaker is a nice person and made sure of all the arrangements as requested, will definitely consider again when around madikeri

A Wonderful Stay at Kurnal's House Our stay at Kurnal's House was truly enjoyable. The peaceful surroundings and clean, comfortable rooms made it a perfect place to relax. Kunal's warm hospitality made us feel right at home. He was always ready to help and share useful travel tips. The highlight of our visit was the delicious home-cooked food. Each meal was full of authentic local flavors and prepared with great care. For anyone looking for a cozy stay with tasty food and friendly hosts, Kurnal's House is an excellent choice.

Highly recommended if you're looking to escape the city and experience true nature. This cottage is designed for relaxation and is located in a serene area, with plenty of spots to explore within a 15–20 km radius. You can spend 3–4 hours roaming nearby places, then come back to unwind—the mornings and evenings here are pure bliss, especially in monsoon-like weather. The host is incredibly responsive and friendly. Thank you, Jyothi, for your warm hospitality, and a special thanks to Jyothsna for patiently addressing all my queries in detail. One small suggestion: it would be great if you could provide an induction stove and some milk in the freezer. It would have been perfect to enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee in this beautiful weather—we really missed that. Thank you again for a wonderful stay! 👍

It was an absolute pleasure to have spent time with Rekha Ji and family. Felt like home. All of them were very involved and helpful. Her cooking was amazing and timely. Would certainly look forward to be back and recommend to everyone reading the reviews !!

Our stay was truly unforgettable, thanks to our incredible host! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality. He was exceptionally responsive and friendly, always ensuring that we felt comfortable and had everything we needed. The food he provided was absolutely delicious—every meal felt like a homemade feast! One of the highlights of our visit was the tour of his farms. He generously took us around, sharing his knowledge and passion for farming. We had the unique opportunity to see ginger, cardamom, chili, and coffee plants up close, making the experience both educational and exciting. If you're looking for an experience that goes beyond just accommodation, this is the perfect place. We left feeling not just like guests, but like friends. Highly recommended!

If you want to spend some peaceful time| walk through coffee estate| to have conversation about the place & culture(Spoke with host Shruthi for hours), then this is the perfect place for you. Nice & responsive host, home like food(thanks for the passion fruit juice), great view, plenty of space for your kids to play. It is near Madikeri, Kushalnagar & lot of places to visit by staying here. India needs more such stay-cations & hosts!! Enjoy the Beaty of Kodugu & be responsible traveller :)
