This one of a kind house is newly built, using a blend of traditional Colombian techniques (tapia pisada) and Dutch design. This results in a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. It offers two separate private bed- and bathrooms, whereas the living area is semi-open offering a stunning view over the valley and the Andes.

Casa el Alero in Barichara

The first floor of the house consists of a patio, a bedroom with a bathroom and four beds, a guest bathroom, kitchen, dining room and a second patio. From there, cobblestone stairs lead into the lush garden and the rest of the house. On a second floor there are two bedrooms, each with three single beds and a bathroom. Then you reach a gazebo overlooking the garden and the village with hammocks and a full bathroom. Further up there is a second gazebo and a parking lot for two cars.

The house has a wonderful view of the mountains, is very bright and sunny during the day and cool at night, is surrounded by farms that are mainly dedicated to the cultivation of coffee. You can hike along the country roads and enjoy beautiful scenery and fresh air. Access to the house is mostly by paved road and approximately 2 km of road with a 'footprint plate'.

Tocagua is a set of three holiday homes with capacity to accommodate between 2 and 5 people. Tocagua 2 has one of the bedrooms with more local charm: its imposing stone wall evokes the essence of Barichara. It has a spacious bedroom with king-size bed, ideal for couples. However, it has been suitable with two nest beds and a sofa bed, to receive up to five guests. We have two additional houses on the property to accommodate larger groups.
