the place is great with the photos matching the real property. the garden that surrounds the property is amazing and beautiful be had apricots and apples in the tree and good eat as many as we wanted. the checking process and the restaurant were also great.

The stay was cozy and spacious. Thank you! It was a relaxed stay and they made sure all the amenities and help was provided as one of us was in hospital. Truly thankful to him and family. I would certainly visit again next time.

Had a really good time staying here. Located outside the city, it's the perfect place to enjoy nature and experience the local culture and lifestyle. Ideally located to visit the various monastries and tourist attractions around Leh. They have a beautiful kitchen garden with variety of fruits and vegetables, and also host to different types of birds. The hosts, Dechen and Shakuntala are really welcoming, and make you feel right at home. Got to learn a lot from the interesting conversations with them. The food is simple amazing, and they use their own home grown vegetables. Highly recommended for people who are looking to have a peaceful time and get a true experience of the beauty of Ladakh and it's people.

Great experience. If I come back again, would definitely stay again. The family is very hospitable. Privacy is not an issue because the residence at the ground floor. Given the comforts, I believe the property is very reasonable. Very clean and amazing bathrooms. Love the 24/7 hot water.

We had a wonderful stay at Varun’s home. Varun was incredibly responsive and helpful. Property was clean, well maintained and icing on the cake was the morning and sunset view from the balcony. We highly recommend staying here.

If words could do justice, it was a beautiful property in a serene location which is only 15 mins walk from the main Leh market. The view from the room was to die for. What made this stay even more memorable was the generous hospitality of the host Tsering and her entire family, especially her mother who was so kind and humble and made me feel like I was at home. They made local lip smacking delicious food during my entire stay which I shamelessly gorged on with some great conversations. They also helped with arranging a local guide to explore Leh, do ask for Tingle and Stanzin who were extremely kind and friendly and helped getting around Leh attractions, Nubra valley, Pangong lake, Hanley, Ktop, Monasteries etc.. I will definitely come back to this beautiful property when I visit Leh again.

Great location - little outside but thats what we wanted. Host is quite accomodating and accesible and flexible addressing our needs and requirements. Well recommended.

Tsering has a beautiful place with a splendid view of the Stok Kangri range. We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed interacting with everyone from the family who made us feel right at home with their warmth. Aunty took great care of us with her home cooked meals and the stay played a huge part of helping us achieve our objective of travelling to Ladakh for the run. Tsering helped us with any information we needed on places nearby. Will especially miss Boyka the family golden retriever and the leisurely walks on the estate. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay with a warm and welcoming family and experience a memorable Ladakhi hospitality. Look forward to coming back and meeting everyone again and loads of love for the entire family.

I had the honour and privilege of staying at Salim’s place. Honestly, I’ve never seen 2 weeks pass by so quickly. I felt really relaxed and at peace. Salim’s place felt more homely than my own home. You wouldn’t want to go back once you spend a few days here with the family and pets. If you really want to experience something authentic and real, this is the place. There’s so much to do at the farm like feeding cattle, gardening, being a part of the community and visiting nearby houses, cycling to the historical palace and mosque nearby, spending time at the river banks and other places around. The homecooked meals are always delicious and you’ll be surprised by your own appetite. I can probably publish an entire blog on how amazing of a host Salim is. Ps: he also has an amazing collection of books. Pps: he paints and sings really well, and is a walking encyclopaedia on local culture, constellations, history, and more. I just can’t wait to be back and spend more time!
