The cottage we stayed in was built in 1888! It was lovely. You could feel the history of the place oozing out of every corner of the cottage. The location is spectacularly beautiful. It was safe, quiet and with every ammenity needed for a comfortable self-catering stay. Petro was also very friendly, helpful and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed stay at Petro's place. We recommend it for a stopover stay or for longer self-catering stays.

Peter is a lovely person and made us as comfortable as possible. The unit is exactly as expected and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It has a rustic, romantic feel. Next to the river in the Karoo mid-winter can obviously get cold but there was a hot water bottle and plenty wood fire for sale. Book it.

Hanlie’s farm house was a wonderful find! We felt right at home. We loved the isolation and the silence of the dead end valley at the foot of the towering Towerkop mountains. The house is well kitted, the beds were great, and stoep and braai was the highlight. We’d love to return.

We really loved our stay at Susie's beautiful house. The view from the house and plunge pool is amazing, and the house itself is well thought out and furnished. I especially loved having an outside shower as the sun was setting!
