Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Ladysmith

We had a wonderful stay! We loved that there are trails accessible by foot from the cabin. (Just walk up the gravel road about 3 minutes.) We discovered that a great morning routine for us was to have coffee, walk through the forest, enjoy the morning light on the ocean, and head back to the cabin for breakfast. Peaceful and relaxing :) Henny is a great host. She shared a ton of wonderful information about places to go and yummy restaurants on the island. The cabin itself is cozy, charming, and quiet. The bed is comfortable, a high priority for me! We also appreciated that we could bring our dog and that she could be off-leash in the grassy area around the cabin.

We had a great time at Scott's place. It was well equipped, comfortable and felt very homely and welcoming. Scott was very friendly and responded immediately to any queries. He gave us helpful tips for local walks and wildlife viewing. We particularly loved watching hummingbirds just outside the lounge windows. We would recommend Karmix Cottage to anyone wanting a get away from it all break, but within easy reach of beaches, waterfalls and forests.

Absolutely stunning location - saw loads of wildlife from the terrace, and an amazing view over the water. Property was also very well supplied with a super modern kitchen and ample bed and bath space. Will be back!

Craig & Tricia were responsive and accommodating! The driveway is quite steep and they were very transparent about that. Other than that, the place was clean and very spacious!

Priceless views and amazing architecture are showpieces of this magnificent home that combines coziness, elegance, comfort and rustic charm. We’ve stayed at many airbnbs, but this one is a new favorite. It’s an ideal getaway for the whole family; plus it’s close to interesting hikes and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked for eating at home. We didn’t enjoy the taste of the well water, but bought drinking water at Tru Value. Carley was very responsive and helpful throughout. We would love to come back in the summer.

We loved staying at Dyan’s comfortable, welcoming space. Ideally placed for exploring Gibsons, it was the perfect place to come home to with comfy and relaxing spaces inside and out. The little touches like flowers on the table and home grown lettuce made it even more special. Would highly recommend

A very comfortable homely place - “secret walk” down to the nearby beach involving a bit of scrambling which our little grandsons loved - a real getaway- house had everything we needed plus fire pit and bbq - a place you’ll want to return to and we hope we will

I recently stayed at Ashley's place, and it was an exceptional experience! The property was exactly as described (and even better in person). It was spotless, cozy, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail in the décor and amenities made it feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect, especially the view was amazing. I loved the closed huge backyard too because of my dog. Ashley was incredibly welcoming and providing clear communications. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. We definitely gonna stay at this place again. This time Summer.

This was a fabulous rental, it was perfect in every way. Every step of this booking was just a great experience, the host was so friendly and fun to chat with and thought of everything a traveller might need. All of the instructions were clear and well thought out, everything was as expected if not better, the place was spotlessly clean and everything was provided for. Loved staying in this beautiful area. The pool and hot tub right next to the ocean were the cherry on top. Tammy’s place was very clean. Felt cleaner than most hotels we’ve been to. Her instructions were crystal clear and we had zero issues accessing the condo and the amenities. Our only feedback; we were missing our creamer in the morning for our coffee. There’s a chance it was there but we didn’t find it! Other than that, we loved it and highly recommend!

Derek’s place was very clean and cozy. It was very welcoming and we felt like home when we stayed at his place. My family were very comfortable while staying there and Derek was also easy to communicate wiith. Overall we had a wonderful time.

It was the perfect getaway for my husband, son, and me. Spent many hours in the hot tub and pool looking out over the lake. Just what we needed to reconnect and recharge! Jamie was a very gracious host.

Judy's place was clean, tidy & well equipped. We had everything we needed with all of the comforts of home. the kids loved the amenities of rathrevor Beach & the pool being near by! thank you! we will definitely be back!!

Our family of 5 plus our dog enjoyed our stay at Oceanside Escapes. Johanna and Julie were readily available to answer any questions that we had before and during our stay. The cabin was well-supplied and had a binder listing many local recommendations. It was a short walk to Rathtrevor Beach which we all enjoyed, particularly our dog. All essential amenities and many attractions were nearby. The central air conditioner was especially helpful in keeping the whole cabin cool during the hotter days. We will be back.

Enjoyed the privacy of the unit and the beauty of Pacific Shores Resort. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of dishes and pots and pans. Heidi communicated well with good information.

Came here for a little staycation and it did not disappoint. Beautiful area and super cute suite. Would definitely stay there again. It was easy to find and Christina gave very clear instructions about where to go and how to get in.

Glamping on a farm - a tranquil experience :) We were greeted by Lisa on arrival and were provided a fun tour of the farm. After that, you are free to roam the farm and pet the animals on your own, which was really cool! My dogs could roam off leash around the vicinity of the cabin which they loved. Tips for fellow visitors: If you are 6 feet or taller you probably don’t want to book the bunk beds in the cabin. They are very short and we could not stretch our legs. If it is raining, there is no under cover area to hang out outside without getting wet, so plan on a cozy evening inside and bring books (and head lamp) and games! Great place, private, clean and quiet. Easy to access community services, restaurants, and local attractions. Host communicated well, access was simple, and the suite had everything needed for travellers. Would book this suite again! Thank you so much for the great stay! MK

Really enjoyed are stay at Inn of the Sea! I wanted something right on the water, and this condo delivered! It’s so lovely to fall asleep with the sounds of the waves lapping at the shore. The condo was exactly what we needed, full kitchen with everything we needed, bbq’s available, pool & hot tub. Most of all, the views were fantastic! We saw wildlife everywhere, water views, beautiful sunsets. The only drawback is you do need a car as it’s in a remote location. But the trade off is lots of peace and quiet!

What a lovely place to stay!! I almost didnt want to write this review because (selfishly) I don't want more people finding out about this amazing getaway spot! 600m walk to a private beach with dock access.. View of the lake from the backyard.. What more can you ask for. Would 100% stay here again!

the hosts were super helpful/responsive and the space was beautiful! When we entered the suite they had laid out honey, farm fresh eggs and a book of recommendations! My pup enjoyed the private yard and chatting with the other neighborhood dogs in the evening. My daughter also enjoyed the yard and being able to run around. Peaceful, and relaxing atmosphere and neighborhood. I couldn't recommend this cabin and these hosts more.
