The Nest Chalet is a very private accommodation with a wonderful bird's eye view of the cloud forest and surrounding mountains. It was terrific to both see the sunset and sunrise from the loft bedroom and deck. Ever was a terrific communicator, and he provided excellent directions and helpful advice. His property also included many terrific amenities such as laundry and air conditioning. We suggest visiting Ever's soda (Tico y Rico) right in the heart of Monteverde for yummy Costa Rican cuisine and a 10% discount for his guests. We highly recommend this Airbnb!

Thank you for the fantastic stay! Tanyia and Rod are amazing hosts. We appreciated the communication and flexibility when booking and leaving. Great recommendations, can’t wait to try some of them when we return. The place is tidy and spotless. Loved the flowers and it’s very well stocked - has everything you need. Great A/C and the showers were so refreshing. The view from the living room is so beautiful of the lake. Our girls loved having their own private area with the king bed. The neighborhood is so peaceful and beautiful- perfect place for a stroll by fields with horses. As with so many places in Costa Rica, there are some steep dirt road inclines on the way - we had no trouble in our 4 wheel drive. This place offers clean, peaceful solitude to listen to the sounds of the Costa Rica jungle tucked away on the south side of Lake Arenal. We only spent evenings there so we didn’t go to the clubhouse.

Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely breathtaking! The property was stunning, with every detail thoughtfully designed to create a cozy yet luxurious vibe. We were surrounded by gorgeous nature—lush greenery and serene landscapes that felt like a dream. We were worried the entire trip would be rainy, but to our delight, the skies cleared, giving us an incredible, unobstructed view of the volcano. It was the highlight of our stay! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for beauty and tranquility.

It was in an amazing setting. And we had a guide Dulce who took us on a night walk & day walk which was stunning. You have to want to be in the jungle with restaurants 10 minutes away. We love that! One tiny detail her father lives next door with barking dogs that were a drag sometimes. But other than that beautiful!

Kelli thank you! We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The house was spacious, clean, and had everything we could’ve hoped for on our vacation. It truly felt like a home away from home. One of the highlights was the adorable “vacation dog” who greeted us with tail wags and made the experience even more memorable. The hosts were absolutely fantastic—welcoming, kind, and responsive. You can tell they really care about making their guests feel comfortable. To top it all off, we were blessed with sightings of incredible wildlife, including howler monkeys right near the property. It was a magical experience we won’t forget. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and special getaway.

It's a wonderful place to stay more time than the one we chose. It's a quiet place, with a great scenery and lots of wildlife. I will recommended for a week vacation away from everything.

This was my LIR to Arenal interim stop on way to La Fortuna since we landed after 2:00PM. I only wish we could have stayed for more than one night. It was clean and very elegant yet homey. The view in the morning was to die for.

This condo is in the most beautiful location, perfect view of the volcano from the balcony!! The space was clean and comfortable beds and furniture. Fully equipped kitchen, big bathroom with large jet tub, and in suite washer and dryer. The host had great communication. Responded quickly late in the evening to our booking request to let us stay in his beautiful place, saving us from the original nightmare Airbnb be booked for that night! I can’t thank the host enough for the responsiveness and the truly wonderful condo right on Lake Arenal!! P.S. Completely ignore the person that left the low rating review about this place. The person should be ashamed to leave a low review for such an incredible place!

We enjoyed our stay in Monteverde. Yamileth was always responsive and friendly and took the time to greet us upon arrival. I will miss my mornings and nights sitting on the terrace enjoying the view and listening to the birds. Thank you for hosting us!

Nuestra estadía fue excelente en el Condo, un lugar equipado, limpio, bonito y acogedor para descanso y un escape de la ciudad; las instrucciones, recomendaciones y comunicaciones fueron efectivas; definitivamente volvería nuevamente sin pensarlo.

This location is so beautiful and unique! It is like being in a multi tiered treehouse in the jungle that is a block from civilization. One afternoon we had monkeys visit us and play on the trees around the house and roof! The host and housekeeper are very responsive. Know that some beds and rooms are separate apartments. But the main house is beautiful wood with an open layout that we all met up in by the fireplace in the evening. Amazing memories and trip!

We stayed 7 nights at Danielle’s gorgeous home and loved it. The property is private and stunningly beautiful. With a huge variety of trees, including mango, the diversity of birds is wonderful. While in the house, the view out every window is so colorful and Danielle’s sense of design in the home reflects that. The 2 bedrooms are very comfortable with perfect air flow thru the windows and overhead fans allowing for perfect sleeping conditions. The large stone lined shower is fantastic and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need. We also loved the location of the house. Close to Nuevo Arenal with it’s great restaurants and right where you need to be to start your drive towards Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna activities. Danielle is also the perfect host. Checking in to make sure everything is going well and super responsive with any questions you might have. We will definitely plan to stay here in the future.

We enjoy a lot to spend holidays in this place, is peaceful, beautiful and confortable, I really recommend Villa Corazon. Looking forward to come back soon.

We’ve stayed at some cool places over the years, but Casa Del Mono is one of my all-time favorites. It’s a perfect little getaway for anyone who wants to be close to nature but with all the comforts of home. It’s a very private property sitting way up the side of a mountain with a beautiful courtyard and hiking trails right out the front door. You simply cannot beat the view, and waking up to a chorus of birds like toucans, oropendolas, and tanagers was incredible (bring your binoculars)! The house itself is beautiful and well-equipped with everything you need. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bed is comfortable, and the shower/tub are gorgeous. It was everything we were hoping for in a Costa Rican stay, and I hope we get to visit again soon!

Super unique property. We were there with a large family group--grandparents to grandchildren and we all loved the stay. Super close and convenient to the Monteverde Reserve parking lot. Also, surprisingly close to town--restaurants, grocery stores and stuff. Laundry facilities were very appreciated. The outside grill was a nice touch, as well.

¡Wow! Grabiela fue espectacular tanto como sus servicios al igual que sus recomendaciones. Fue muy atenta y muy comunicativa. El lugar sumamente acogedor y limpio. Muy cerca a todo y cómodo para dos. Amé escuchar los caballos corriendo y el perrito del vecino tan chulo y cariñoso. Lo recomiendo con los ojos cerrados.

Rudy was a great host. The home is about 20 min from downtown fortuna. The home was beautiful, the pool was clean and he was very responsive when we needed assistance.

Francesco's Hotel Mystica is literally the most relaxing place I've ever been in my entire life. My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night as part of our anniversary vacation, and by the next day we couldn't believe it had only been 24 hours. Villa Los Pericos has a breathtaking view of Lake Arenal and the volcanoes right from its front porch (complete with hammock and Adirondack chairs), and the all-glass wall of the villa opens up so you can catch the cool mountain breeze from your living room or kitchen. We were amazed as to how untouched by humans the lake was. No boats, and only one or two windsurfers. I really do hope it stays this way. The area is amazing, and landscape-wise it almost feels like the rolling hills of Ireland at times. With 10-15 degrees cooler temps (Fahrenheit) than the beach towns, you'll almost forget you're in Costa Rica for a moment. The main road around the lake is newly paved, so it's easy to get around and explore the small towns and a few restaurants / brewpubs, if you do decide to leave the Mystica grounds. While we were perfectly content with the views and the villa itself, the overall estate (Hotel Mystica) has so much more to add to the tranquil experience. A waterfall dipping pool, homecook restaurant with fireplace/lounge, and an expansive yoga platform facing the jungle right next to a stream are just a few of the amenities you can enjoy. Francesco is an excellent host who wants to make sure your experience is relaxing and perfect. Homecooked breakfast and a platter of fresh fruit before checkout topped off an unforgettable experience. I would certainly stay here again -- and next time, for more than a day!
