Holiday rentals with breakfast in Lake Bunyonyi

Jonathan is a member of local community and he is accepting his guests in his own house giving 1 room with bed (with mosquitiere). There is no running water or shower but water in the lake is clean. If you want to experience how normal Ugandans live this is a place for you. To come to Jonathan place you need to take boda (7000 SH in november 2022) to the small harbour with a boats. From there locals can take you on the other shore.

Very good stay, the Airbnb is located very close to one of the entry of Mgahinga National Park with a beautiful view of the mountains. The place is clean, and the employees are very welcoming and helpful. Thank you again for everything !

Very clean place. I felt very home. The apartment was so clean and really felt I was in my element: Spotless places, White clean sheets, food tasted really good, and staff was very friendly. I woke up and found my car was washed by one of the housekeepers. It was a nice gesture.

The true highlights of this place are the wonderful staff and the beautiful location. Our request for an upgrade was handled promptly and kindly. We stayed in the Marigold tree house, which was spacious, spotless, and had excellent hot water pressure. The photos really don’t do it justice - it's even more charming in person. The complimentary boat transfer to and from the shore to the property was a lovely bonus, and the food at the on-site restaurant was absolutely delicious. Special thanks to Jimmy and Hillary (the chef) for taking such great care of us - they were always friendly, attentive, and eager to help. A special thanks to Phillip for quick communication The property is very peaceful, offering stunning views of the lake, and everything is very well maintained. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. The wifi is only available in the restaurant area, but we actually appreciated the chance to disconnect and enjoy the serene surroundings.

Gorgeous place and as others have said, the best shower ever! To get to the treehouse is a steep hike (but I managed to get all my steps in) so be prepared.

We are very grateful for the hospitality of Bernard, Regina, Alex, Allan and the family. We felt very welcome. We enjoyed the delicious food and it was nice to chat with everyone in the living room. Bernard took us to show us the tea fields and Alex helped us plan the Sabyinyo hike. Highly recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our stay. Seraphine and JP are very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and there is access to some common areas. It's also nice to support a women's cooperative. Location is good - close to restaurants and not far to the Volcanoes NP HQ (25 mins).

Thank you for a lovely stay Onesmus. I was travelling alone and Onesmus took the time to introduce me to someone else staying at the Guesthouse which for me was a nice touch. Simple cooking and laundry facilities also available. I chose this place partly due to the fantastic reviews of the breakfast and I was not disappointed.

We absolutely loved our stay in Musanze thanks to this wonderful and authentic experience together with the Ubushobozi women. This was more than an AirBnB: it became our home. It is conveniently located near lots of regional attractions while being very close to reach the city center and multiple local restaurants on foot. But what really made our stay one of a kind was the opportunity to spend time with the Ubushobozi women, for example seeing their dance performance, talking and learning a bit of Kinyarwandan while they were weaving or sewing and even visiting some of the villages and homes where they come from outside of the city. If you want an authentic, warm-hearted experience away from high-end tourism and a glimpse into the local community, this is the place for you! Hoping to return soon!

Great stay in the Island. We were upgraded from the round house to ha house with a large balcony overlooking the lake. Super nice rooms and joint area. We were welcomed by Hilary the great boatman who took us to the island and at the island the friendly staff. Unfortunately it was raining the whole time we were there so we didn’t get to enjoy the island and lake as much as we could. But we utilisée the fact that we could relax under the terrace roof and read books and play games. Be aware of many scams in Kabale. We were approached by many taxis going there saying that the place had arranged pick up even though this was not true. On the way back we wanted to go with bus, but Jaguar bus scammed us and gave us expensive tickets 40k each for a bus that never came. So we were put in a car that drove us to the boarder (20 mins) and then in a small bus which we know only costs 6k. This was very frustrating. So be aware and talk with the hosts to figure the best solution out.
