A perfect stay in comfortable and well-appointed cabins looking out towards Lake Wairarapa and a gorgeous garden. The property feels so peaceful and welcoming. The lounge/ kitchen cabin is open and spacious with an amazing fire to keep you warm in winter. Brad and Rach communicated clearly and gave helpful input throughout our stay. This place is such a rare find, so if it's available definitely book! Very very highly recommended!

We had such a great long weekend here. The house is in a quiet area with a nice view of the sea. It is a short drive to the lighthouse and pinacles in either direction. It is dark at night and we got great views of the stars (and even the aurora on the last night!!). The place is well laid out, very clean and more than enough space for 6 adults. The living area is larger than it looks in the photos. The bbq is around the side of the house so not very communal but it was good and clean. Kitchen was well equipped and easy to find and operate everything. We didnt use it but there is an outdoor shower for coming in from the beach and loads of beach towels for use. Great communication from Jenna with easy instructions to find the house- and the early check in is such a good bonus.

Beautiful stay at the Washpool and just as we remembered it from over 10 years ago. Amazing views and surroundings and the house had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed petting the horses and playing games on the front lawn. Fun had by all!

Leanne and Andy were awesome to deal with! Both nothing but amazing, I called prior and asked about the area, what was near and what I would have to travel for, they were both very informative. Upon arrival, the heater was on and the electric blanket was also, the space was warm, clean and felt homely. While the reception was spotty, it was exactly what my partner and I were looking for, a place to get away and relax with each other. We were unable to visit the restaurant in Lake Ferry but didn’t travel daily to the surrounding areas such as Featherston, Masterton, Greytown and Wellington. The drive is great, the Remutaka hill is a decent drive but very scenic. I will definitely book again. Thank you Leanne and Andy for welcoming me into you whare and city with such open arms, it really was a pleasure experiencing souther North Island for the first time. Many thanks. Luke

Could not think of a better place to have been based (albeit too briefly) for my first visit to the region. Stunning surrounds and great bush cabin vibes just ten minutes drive from town. (I did consider just hanging out on the porch all day listening to the rush of the stream, but figured I’d better check out the very impressively curated Booktown event I was in town for). Highly recommend.
