Lake house holiday rentals in Lake Hopatcong, Jefferson

I can’t image giving this place anything less than 5 stars! I’m already looking forward to my next stay at Anar’s Lakeside Villa. There was plenty of space for everyone and all the essentials are included. But honestly, even though were was a game room, no one wanted to stay in because the patio in the backyard was so stunning! There’s a beautiful fire pit in the middle we were able to make s’mores on, the chairs were comfortable, and right on the other side you’re able to see the water and boats. During the day we were able to play games in the actual backyard, and then chill in the covered area at night. That being said, outside of the house/backyard patio being great, the area surrounding the house has plenty to do. There is a lake for kayaking or boat rentals (my favorite), great hiking trails (reach out to Anar for recommendations, she has plenty), and shops to purchase food if you’re looking to use the grills/fire pit. Overall, 10000/10, but Airbnb will only let me give it a 5.

From the beginning of our journey to the conclusion of our journey Livia’s hospitality and thoughtfulness of her space we were very impressed. Squeaky clean, well stocked kitchen (just about everything you’d need) comfortable beds and clear instructions for the household are its selling points. This is our first experience with Livia’s property and it won’t be our last. We’re planning on another visit later this year because of this experience. The ratings are real people! You won’t be disappointed.

We were very satisfied with our stay. Nick replied promptly to all of my text messages and was very helpful. He usually has firewood split and stacked, but there was no more split firewood. I texted him to ask where I could go get firewood or if he had the tools so I could split it manually, but he said that we are on vacation and should relax. Within about an hour, split firewood was delivered and placed in the storage area for us! It rained every single day, but we were very thankful for the indoor activities the finished basement. There was a poker table with chips and cards, karaoke machine, basketball, table tennis, pac-man, fussball , a fitness area with a bike, yoga mat and weights. The only two things I did not like, were out of Nick's control. One was that the lake was very mucky and when I fell in 3 times, I came up smelling like manure. You can kayak on it, but I would advise not falling in. The other issue was the long line at the gate to enter the community.

We had a lovely weekend. View is amazing, house very homey. Overall a great place.

Steven was very responsive to any questions we had. The place was beautiful and peaceful. The hot tub was well maintained. The kayaks were fun. The outdoor area was beautiful and exactly what we were hoping for regarding privacy. All amenities were as described.

Very happy with our stay. Responsive and helpful host. Beautiful home and scenery to get away. Surrounded by nature, with deer and geese passing through the property. Had a great time out on the lake using the kayaks and boat available and getting some fishing in.

Stephanie’s Lakehouse exceeded all our expectations- the house is beautiful and incredibly stocked with everything you could possibly need. The smore kits were delightful! Beds were comfy, checkin, checkout was easy, directions for managing the house were clear and simple.

This lake house is a gem! A smash hit! A tour de force of lake houses! Clean, comfortable, well appointed. Beautifully laid out with both retro and current technology. Great back yard with everything you need. High tech appliances throughout the house. The window guy out-did himself. The living room and primary room views of the lake and all of its wildlife are worth the price of admission. Amenities everywhere; Kayaks, firewood, candles, plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture, grills and even bath products. The cool and friendly vibe we got from our hosts was awesome! It seemed they tried hard to make our stay easier and more enjoyable. The effort was noticed and greatly appreciated. “Oh it rained in the kayaks ? Use our shop vac to empty them.” Both a convenience store and a take out restaurant right up the street Mount Wawayanda, lake Wanda , echo lake stables, Warwick NY shops all good times. Can’t wait to get back !

We had a wonderful time at this property for our WUE retreat! The home was exactly as pictured—clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The peaceful location was perfect for a relaxing getaway, and William, our host, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. One suggestion for future guests would be to clarify in the listing that the pool is part of the community and not directly on the property. Access requires additional steps, which would have been helpful to know ahead of time. Also, having an iron available would’ve been a nice bonus for preparing outfits during our retreat. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a serene and well-kept space!

Perfect for a Relaxing weekend with friends and Family

Great MDW. We spent a ton of time fishing (get live bait), on kayaks/boats, in the immaculate hot tub, and enjoying the fire. Beautiful setting, exactly as the pictures. Every detail in the home was attended to and it made our weekend extra special.

We loved staying at Crystal Cottage with our 2 dogs. It was very comfortable, spacious and peaceful. The access to the lake and large property was terrific for us.

The home was pristine and beautifully designed, feeling like a brand new home. Everything was purposely placed to have exactly what you would think you’d need. The host is extremely friendly and super responsive. The views of the lake are awesome. The bedrooms are huge and the beds and bedding are extremely cozy (we all slept like babies). The duel decks are a really cool set up with the hot tub on the bottom such a cool vibe with really nice ceiling lights hanging. We came for a work escape as a team, and this was a great stay for us. The bedrooms upstairs also had their own little balconies, which is great to enjoy a morning cup of coffee before getting our day started. They also had all the amenities in the kitchen you could ever need.

I stayed here with 6 girls for my bachelorette trip and we had a great time. Location is great so much to do in the area and loved sitting out my the lake. Only thing I'd say is that the spillway is a little louder than I expected. I loved all the wildlife that we saw too.

Wonderful place to stay for a girls trip. Loved the choices of hot tub, sauna, and pool! Easy drive to Jim Thorpe for a day trip too!

Stayed here to attend a wedding and I could not be happier. The first night we sat on the chairs outside and watched the sunset. After that it was raining but we were able to enjoy the view from the living area. Beautiful home with a lot of space. Very quiet and peaceful stay. There was a power outage and Noma was very helpful and responsive giving us updates on when the power would come back. It was not a problem because we enjoyed the serenity of the place. I would definitely stay here again rain or shine.

We loved our stay! The lake house was very cozy, peaceful and relaxing. The lake views were absolutely gorgeous with direct access and a dock with kayaks for use. The hot tub was perfect for two with great views of lake. All the trees and flowers were beautiful. It was awesome to have coffee in the morning outside and watch the birds and turtles. The bed was very comfortable and a great open and light kitchen with new appliances. Lots to do in the area and at house. Wonderful close by resteraunts. Out host was great to work with and very friendly too! Thanks so much Yan Yan Li! Highly recommend and would love to return for another visit!

Lovely neighborhood setting. The yard was a nature reserve, quiet and relaxing. The home itself was welcoming & well supplied with “all the comforts of home” My favorite being the kitchen, stocked for large or small gatherings. The ground floor bedroom was an oasis of secluded peace for a good nights rest….And we did! If you are looking for seclusion, this is the place to go, yet you are less than 10 minutes away from Kings Market & Restaurants. It was a pleasure to work with Jake, he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was all we HOPED FOR.

Wonderful stay at this peaceful, beautiful lake house. The hosts were great in all communication and prep for our stay. Very accommodating and sincere. Response times were fast and thoughtful. Beautiful home and peaceful, clean lake. Well organized kitchen and very nice bedrooms. Upfront instructions and check out was a super breeze (no pressure to do a ton of chores like other places). We had a wonderful stay at Zach’s Lake house! This was probably the nicest house I’ve rented from Airbnb or VRBO. The house is well decorated with top notch appliances and finishes throughout the house. Just little details like fine wine and champagne glasses, firewood for fire pit, bath robe in the master suite, kayaks, etc. The location of the house was amazing right on the lake. We rented a boat for 3 days and the dock was so convenient. Can’t recommend this house enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Amanda's place! The AirBnB was so cozy during the winter weather and the lake was a stunning backdrop for our weekend away. We enjoyed lots of laughs and home cooked meals during our stay. We're already talking about when we can return!

Was perfect for what we needed - a place near the crawfish festival. The house was so peaceful and nice, I loved the decor and the setup. We found everything we needed and especially enjoyed the back porch!
