Perfect for large groups or families, lots of space, peaceful and very private. Hosts assistant Paty was very nice and helpful she had cool waters and snacks waiting for us. I wished we could have stayed longer.

We loved the backyard with the gazebo, the hammocks and the flowers.

We were looking for something to spend several days relaxed and with things to do for my children (11 and 15 years old). This place was excellent. Since we arrived Don Mario was very helpful in welcoming us in the marina where we left parado el carro, it is a short 10 minute trip to the house. The house with its two air conditioned rooms, kitchen dining room and a terrace where we spend most of the time, the wind that there is makes it super nice to be outside. We threw a thousand times in the river, we use the pedal boat and we went to explore the surrounding area. Really no one wanted to come back on the last day. Maria was in constant communication with me and always attentive to any eventualities. We had Elvia's support in the house, Don Mario's daughter, during the week (paid separately and direct to her) and it was key so that we could be quieter, she is a very polite and helpful girl. It's definitely a place we hope to repeat soon...

nice place, clean and comfortable, only at the beginning we thought it was a private house and not that there were several apartments, but everything was fine.

We had a great time as a family. The people who took care of us in the house were very attentive to the domestic service and the guardian and transfer by boat. Melvin was also attentive to communication.

This stay with Javier will have been the most significant of my 3-month trip to Guatemala. Everything is as described, the beauty of the place, accessible only by boat, the peaceful life of the inhabitants of this village Quee chi, the river and its natural pool, the birds... And Javier, his kindness and attention, good food and walks to discover the region... I feel "lucky" and hope to make you want to come and disconnect also in this unique environment!

Very good service from Hector You can improve the lighting of the house, also the pool. Around the pool we find some bugs, it can be improved.

Our stay at Casa Kerlyn was great. The house was beautiful and equipped. The downfall was the electricity went down on our second day. We contacted Sindy the caretaker and she tried her best to resolve the problem but unfortunately, it was beyond her control a car knocked down a light post by the 3rd night the electricity came back up and we were able to continue enjoying our stay. Sindy was very attentive

Very cozy place for a family, apartment with many details

So when I first got there I was a bit worried, but it turns out I left with the smile. This kind of resort is really unique and nice. The common space is relaxing in the jungle, very cool place. The breakfast was surprisingly good. There are a few things to note... Nothing is included, but honestly it was worth it. This is not for everybody: it is the jungle. Be ready for it... I personnally love animals, insects, fish, etc., there are plenty of those, not a lot of mosquitoes, on the other hand. One other thing is.. This is on the river Tatin, an affluent, not on Rio Dulce. Thats pretty much it... I loved my experience. Cheers!

Chalet Villaruè and our host Noelia, exceeded but far exceeded our expectations, the natural landscape, accompanied by the incredible attention of Noelia and the comforts offered by the place, made an unbeatable experience. Noelia was attentive to us at all times, from our arrival to our departure, she really made us feel at home. The Chalet Villaruè is decorated in detail and in every area of the place with many antiques, the same ones that Noelia explained its origin as well as its function for which we did not know, that adds value, since the place is full of history. the place is equipped with so many places for rest or recreation that it is sometimes difficult to choose a place to be since all its areas are beautiful, it has a cannopy for children, and we were provided with even sound equipment as well as a Karaoke to finish having fun on our trip. The Chalet is on the shore of the Lake, an extremely quiet beach that is very, very clean, the landscape is in one word, "impressive" without a doubt who goes to Chalet Villaruè, will be getting an Experience that he won't forget.

We will be going back again and again. Such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Waves every night to put you to sleep. Local fisherman with plenty of fish to sell. The home was just awesome, open spaces and plenty of room for everyone to sleep and relax. So many places to visit in boat or kayak. If you wind surf, bring your equipment. Cells towers are very close so you can work remote like I did for 12 days. Tapon Creek has some of the best small waterfalls. Easy to boat, walk and explore. And locals always willing to help get you where you want to go. Such a family friendly place. Kids in the water all day long. Being from Florida, I expected it to be hot. But in reality, it is cooler and so much less humid than Florida. And the temperature drops a few degrees at night and pretty comfortable with a fan. 78F is my new normal temp. I hired local help to cook and clean each day. It was awesome. Look forward to going back.

Really lovely spacious place! Kitchen is really well stocked. The family next door were really helpful whenever we needed anything. We went for a few lovely swims in the river just off the dock. Just to be aware that you can only get there by boat and will need to pay for a boat there and out if you wanted to go anywhere during the day, but this can be organised for you easily.
