Lacy's place is even better in person. It was so cozy. She had lots of little touches that made our stay better. We had so much fun with the kayaks, she had logs ready for a fire, lots of places to sit outside. Our family of four was very comfortable. We really appreciated the cold filtered water. The neighbors were all so nice and we even met several Amish families and saw many horse and buggy driving by. It was quite an amazing experience.

This booking was smooth, start to finish. Loren responded immediately to any of our questions. I will definitely look him up again for any other properties he may have when traveling to Michigan. Excellent host! I highly recommend his places!

We had a great stay! Would recommend. Lyle was very accommodating. Love the outdoor patio looking out on the lake. The lake itself is so quiet and peaceful. One thing to be aware of is that the property is pretty shady most of the day so I wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking to get some sun. But we made great use of the kayaks and paddle board by attaching the paddle board to the kayak and my husband paddled me around the lake for some sunbathing 😂 overall great, relaxing, peaceful time!

We loved being on the lake. It was very peaceful. We saw frogs, a beaver, swans, many kinds of birds. The game room was nice and we enjoyed carpet ball. The mother-in-law suite was nice. We took a nurse for our granddaughter so the nurse had her own space and our family had our privacy too. The peddle boat and kayaks were a plus. We tried some area restaurants that were good. All in all a great place!

Spent the weekend and had a wonderful time. The place is beautiful and as pictured and described. The view off the lake is amazing and lots of breeze coming off of it. The beds were extremely comfortable and had nice pillows, linens, and extra pillows and blankets. Fans were provided in both bedrooms. Water was hot and all hygiene was provided. The kitchen is well stocked. The hosts were reachable and gave clear directions on entrance and how to work the air, heat, and TV. Would definitely recommend to stay here and make sure to go for a visit in Shipshewana.

Beautiful home, they were so helpful accommodating my messed up work schedule.. the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Definitely going to come back and recommend this home to everyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay while preparing for my son's wedding nearby. This property was beautiful, peaceful, tranquil and restful, which is exactly what we needed. The kitchen and coffee bar were well-equipped with lots of extra amenities and options - beverage fridge, traditional coffee pot, French press, Keurig, etc. There were thoughtful touches throughout the home, such as snacks, extra toothbrush and items you may have forgotten. My son particularly liked the option of the hammock in one of the bedrooms! The view was incredible, with ample seating options both inside and out. I hope to return on a weekend where I can just fully relax and enjoy the property. Thank you for such a wonderful and uncomplicated experience!

We really enjoyed our stay at Dan's place! It’s a charming lake cottage that has been thoughtfully updated with new fixtures, bathroom, and flooring. It suited us very well, along with our two small dogs. We especially loved the deck overlooking the lake, which had lovely patio furniture and a fire table. We also enjoyed taking a walk through the neighborhood and admiring the historic cottages, as well as having a wonderful dinner next door at the Cold Springs Resort. Dan was warm, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. We highly recommend a stay here to experience lake life!

We came into town for a wedding and brought our 2 dogs and wanted to stay someplace safe and quiet and we definitely found that with Edgar’s home. The location was easy to find and it was nice to have private parking right along the lake. The access to the home was easy and the home nicely is decorated with every amenity you need to cook your own food. Views from the home are lovely and we went out onto the dock and spent time on the private beach a couple of the nights we were there. The beds were extremely comfortable and there were plenty of towels, which I appreciated. Location makes it easy to get into town for grocery shopping and there is a brewery in town that makes great smash burgers called Useless Creatures. We walked around the neighborhood a couple of times and we also found a great hiking spot to take the dogs very nearby. Overall, a very comfortable stay in a beautiful location.

This was a lovely place. We loved setting on the dock watching the sunset! There is plenty to do within a short distance. Nathan was so responsive with anything we asked. Being outside is why we were there. If you need a tv for sleep, bring a laptop for the master. We definitely will be back!!!

The house was very clean and comfortable. The place had plenty of room inside and out. Great view from the porch overlooking the lake. Steve was very kind, helpful, and professional. I would recommend and would have no problem going back for another getaway.

It was such a beautiful stay. The back of the house faces the quiet channel in a circular view, which allows for a lovely view and breeze. The house had an inviting layout, great for our family vacation. The shed in the back was accommodating with lots of water toys, especially for kids. There is a little private and very clean beach area that was great for the kids as well. We look forward to coming back!

We were familiar with the area since our parents had lived two doors down. When we checked in, we had the pleasure of meeting the homeowner and made us feel welcomed as he was leaving. He let us know that that there were mats off of the pier, which made swimming there more pleasurable so your feet didn't directly touch the muck on the bottom of the lake. The home was a great space since it had plenty of room for our family. We had an awesome time enjoying time with our kids and grandchild on Lake James. While the primary bedroom had a separate unit and fan to compensate, the only caution I would have is that HVAC unit for the main level was not adequate for the much hotter weather or when cooking in the kitchen.

We enjoyed our stay! The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, and the host was vey responsive and friendly!

I stayed at this lake house with my husband, two teenagers, my parents, my brother and his wife while we were in town for a family wedding. the house was beautiful and perfect for our crew. The two living room spaces were large and very open with lots of seating. The decks/patios outside were spacious and had great virlews. We checked out the game room over the garage (we did not end up using the space) - it was just as tidy and had a lot of fun games. My teenagers enjoyed sitting on the dock and the lake was great. We would definitely stay here again if we travel this way.

This was by far the best stocked kitchen of any Air BNB we have stayed at. Not once did we need something that was not there. They also had the most comfortable beds of any Air BNB with lots of pillows to choose from and extra throw blankets around. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer! We hope to be able to go back next summer.
