Right in the centre of Tekapu close to the lake, supermarket and Church.. The place was just as described by Lu. It was clean and had all the amenities listed. He is very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay again given a chance and would recommend it anyone visiting Tekapu

We had a comfortable stay during our quick trip to Lake Tekapo. It had snowed a few days earlier, so there was snow everywhere — the heated blanket was definitely a plus! The bathroom was nice, with heated lights and a heated towel bar. My husband loved it. Just a heads-up: the reserved parking can only fit two cars, so if the other units have already parked, you'll need to park along the side of the road.

Loved our stay at Lu’s. The location is just far enough from the main town stretch to feel peaceful, but entirely walkable. Space was just right for us as a family of 4. We couldn’t figure out how to operate the heaters at first and Lu was responsive and helped diagnose.

I wished we had stayed for more than a night. My family really had a great stay at Lu Lu’s place. Lu Lu has been very accommodating and positively responsive with our inquiries. The place is very neat and cozy, complete utilities and really great for families. Only a few minutes away from Lake Tekapo with a guaranteed beautiful views outside deck. Definitely recommended and would love to go back there again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The place itself was spacious, beautifully set up, and had all the amenities we needed — and more. It felt like a home away from home. On our first night, we experienced a snowstorm, and we were so grateful that the heating worked perfectly. A special highlight for my kids was the log burner — it was their first time seeing one, and they loved the cozy experience! Having a garage was a huge bonus — we didn’t have to worry about digging out our rental car the next morning. And the view from the balcony of the lake was stunning, especially with everything covered in snow. What made it even more special was the large open space at the back where our kids had the best time playing in the snow. It was such a joy to watch. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay — everything was perfect! Would highly recommend and would love to come back someday.

Lu’s place is super clean and located within the quiet vicinity of Tepako. It is just the nice size for our family of 5, and has the full equipment and free flow of hot water for this winter season. Live the house!

The location is great, near the main town area of Lake Tekapo where the restaurants and shops are. The AirBnB was easy to find, and we enjoyed our one night stay here. It’s clean, comfortable bed, and has the basics. Would recommend!

Book Tekapo's listing is great for two or one person, the room size is just right, I especially like this kitchen, the utensils are very complete, and it is equipped with a dishwasher, it is really great not to wash the dishes after cooking, the surrounding environment is very beautiful, very convenient.

A lovely, peaceful little stay! Perfect little home away from home while we were traveling. The owner was kind enough to let our dog have a run in the paddock which was wonderful. And the owner's two dogs, Blue and Rocket were absolute sweeties. Will definitely stay again if we are passing through!

Alhena and her amazing property in Caroline Bay was absolutely amazing. The aesthetics of this place is just Devine, it is such a beautifully presented place to stay. And also so practical for a family to use (we have two children under three). It was spacious, great location. We had a wonderful welcome from the owners upon arrival. A lovely guide book of the area which for food especially we really appreciated. For someone who has never been to Timaru this has definitely made our stay even better. Also such an amazing view from the lounge room. Wish I could take some of the furniture home with me 🥰

These apartments were much more than we expected! It would have to be the best place I have ever booked on AirBNB. The location is very close to the main strip. Tiff in reception is super friendly, accomodating and very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and activities. This is a terrifically run business!

3 bathrooms are very good for big family. The place is quiet and with nice view. We can watch stars out of the house

We had a very comfortable stay in Lake Tekapo. The house is close to the city center. It is also clean and warm.

cairnsmore apartment was a brilliant little place to stay, it had everything you could need for a break at tekapo.walind distance to the shops and restaurants, very peaceful area and beautiful scenery, lake tekapo homes were very easy to deal with and helpful when needed .we will definitely book here when we return to tekapo in fact it could be our regular little get away

Beautiful location and lovely view. Loved the way this place has been designed, it’s very thoughtful and feels very homely. Only drawback is the construction of another place just next to it but otherwise a very memorable stay.

Staying at Hayley’s is the best thing you can do! Such a lovely renovation of an amazing space. Comfy beds, great shower and spa bath welcome after a long ride on motor bikes. Hayley makes you welcome and has great recommendations , eat at @ustin92 (Austin92) great food and service. Great breakfast included

I need to get the landlord's consent before booking. Before booking, I sent a message to the landlord that my wife and I are taking my mother and daughter to the South Island of New Zealand. After the landlord agreed, I booked and paid. Because this is the first time we have booked a room through the Airbnb App in New Zealand. We used to stay in a hotel. When using the App, I did not notice that the number of guests in the system showed 1 person. I neglected to change it. On the day of check-in, the host sent me a message, and I found out. I thought I had sent a message to the host to confirm that we were staying for 4 people around the island before booking. This would solve the problem. I don't know why I had to pay an additional 35 US dollars. I will be more cautious when using the App in the future. Leanne's house is very comfortable, very clean, the surrounding environment is very quiet, and it is very convenient to go to Cook Hill. I recommend it to travelers who need to stay here😊

We had a great stay at this lovely property! It was easy to find, with clear check-in instructions that made our arrival seamless. The space was immaculate — everything from the kitchen to the furniture and linen was pristine, and the bathroom was squeaky clean. Twizel has its own quiet charm, and it was an easy, scenic drive to both Lake Tekapo and Mount Cook, making it a perfect base for our adventures. The highlight was stepping into the backyard at night and being greeted by a sky full of stars. I'd spend my evenings admiring the Milky Way — an experience I won’t soon forget. This place was the perfect mix of comfort, cleanliness, and natural beauty. Highly recommended.

Teresa’s place is lovely to stay in, it’s exactly like the photos a nice getaway to enjoy Fairlie and the nearby towns would definitely stay here again!

Great wee place for a weekend away with friends. Very well appointed apartment. The road noise wasn’t a problem for us. Homely and comfortable with a lovely terrace area which would be nice to use on a sunny day.

Olive and Pam are so kind. They waited for us till midnight. The room is very clean. Beds and quilts are all comfi. We refer to our friens and stay again for sure next time we come to South Island.
