Cottage holiday rentals in Lake Tyler

I needed a place to just unwind and relax for a couple of days. I was looking for a place that was quiet, peaceful, surrounded by nature, scenic, and go fishing! This place was all of the above and then some. (There's also a very nice golf course just down the street) Mike and Sheryl make you feel right at home. They are both very friendly and kind. They kept their fridge stocked with drinks and breakfast foods. There is also a coffeemaker, microwave, and toaster in the common/kitchenette area. I even caught my biggest catfish off their brand new dock! (5lbs). I will definitely be back for another stay. I highly recommend staying at Mike & Sheryl's lake side house.

I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this place!!! This house was gorgeous and very well-kept! The owners thought of everything that travelers may need. They also had various snacks, movies, and games for the children. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. The owners have bird feeders up, so it was really nice getting to see all the birds flying around the backyard. There were so many beautiful cardinals and we saw 1 blue jay. Stephanie and Jan were such friendly and amazing people! Whatever we needed, they always answered quickly. The home was very comfortable and we had such a good stay! We were even allowed to have visitors! Most of the Airbnbs that we have stayed at did not allow visitors, so it was nice to be able to have our family over. We will definitely stay here again!

What a gorgeous, peaceful oasis! The hosts have thought of everything to make our stay perfect - from a bottle of wine to drinks in the fridge and a snack and coffee basket to extra towels and throw blankets for sitting outside. It was a lovely, relaxing weekend in a beautiful and serene setting.

We absolutely loved our quick weekend getaway, this place is truly a gem! I loved the vintage lake house decor/feeling, we felt right at home. The views are beautiful, the property itself is very well maintained, loved the landscaping and the big beautiful trees! It was so nice to just walk out and hop in the lake, rinse off and hop in the hot tub later, with views through the whole cabin! My fiancé enjoyed golfing near by, we cooked and ate our meals on the patio, and enjoyed the scenery. We were more than comfortable for our entire stay. Communication was great, and they stocked us up with water, snacks, and a bottle of wine - even had a pot of coffee made on our arrival. Grateful we were able to stay here! We will absolutely be back!

Sabrina was kind and friendly when helping me locate the office. They take great care of their cabins and guests. I appreciated signs around the trail for night time navigation. Great location if looking for a place to escape from the noise of life.

We were able to get into the home with a wheelchair ramps fairly easy. I know that the host clearly indicated some issues with the wheel chair accessibility of the Home. it would be great to allow more wheelchair bound individuals to enjoy Holly Lake if maybe grab bars could be installed in the bathroom downstairs. Wonderful stay!!!! Beautiful home!!!

My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location was perfect, right on the lake. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful. Very private and secluded. The space was clean and comfortable. We will be back again!! Thank you so much!

The property is so serene and relaxing. Such a calming environment. A lot of beautiful nature sounds…wind blowing in the trees, all kinds of birds singing, crickets, etc. Nearby there were the most adorable donkeys, gorgeous horses, cute chickens and a rooster. We spotted some precious deer. They have fish food available to feed the fish and turtles. They have a lot of games (indoor & outdoors), movies, books and magazines. They have 3 smart t.v.’s. Great bathroom and kitchen amenities. Also, comfortable beds. Very nice and clean and lots of great smelling candles. The huge porch was soooo nice with a ceiling fan, string lights, etc. It was nice to see the star filled sky! They have a pier by the water and also have a fire pit :) Palestine is 10-15 minutes away with a lot of shopping, restaurants, 4 hr train ride, etc. I would definitely recommend this host/place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful time and loved this spot so much! Kristi was amazing with any questions and the house was fully stocked with whatever we needed. Outside the lake was wonderful with kayaks and rafts to keep you busy for days. We will definitely be booking again. We enjoyed every minute of it!

Ms Laura was very helpful with everything. We asked for a few hours extra and she did not charge extra like lots of other hosts would. She was very accommodating with us. It’s a small and cozy place perfect for 2 ppl on a wknd get away. Back yard view is a great rolling hill to sit on porch and read.

This was our 2nd trip to the cabin, & as before, it didn’t disappoint. Chris is Great! He’s extremely accommodating & very easy to get ahold of. The Serenity of this place is Amazing; & just what I needed to help in the process of recently losing my Son. No noise, no people…just absolute peace & quiet. We’ll definitely be back…

Wow! This is such an oasis in the heart of beautiful east Texas. The home was cozy and sweet. The lake was gorgeous. My family loved the boat house dock. Lots of fishing and lots of use of their kayaks. Thank you Toni! Jimmy

Elaine’s hospitality is unmatched. Bessie’s is spotless, the kitchen is always stocked with fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, etc and carafes of flavored tea and milk, frozen foods, fresh fruit and bakery items, snacks and wines. This trip she offered to let us tour the main house with her. She told us the history of many of the items in the house, which is just beautifully decorated. A step back in history. We have nothing but good things to say about Bessie’s Landing. It’s our go to for sure.

This cabin was perfect for our family of 3. Such a cute space and layout. We were very happy, would stay there again.

Great Airbnb!! It was super cozy, lake was beautiful, private and safe. We were pulling up to the area and neighbors were waving at us, Kelley was super nice too, bed was comfy, kitchen had enough supplies but I wouldn’t recommend to cook anything too elaborate due to the space. We tried to cook some pasta but smoke detector would beep every time we’d open the oven so don’t get scared. Also, make sure you buy enough water, food and anything that you might need since closest town is Corsicana about 20 minutes away and you can easily go to the HEB or Dollar Store over there. Washer and dryer were on point and useful. Very clean, bathroom was big enough! Sunset was beautiful. It’s a really nice place to stay away from the city for couple days and detox! We had a wonderful stay at Felicia’s! The house was even better than the pictures, clearly designed with attention to detail from top to bottom. Felicia’s mix of antique one-of-kind decorations along with modern comforts like large leather couches and recently renovated kitchens and bathrooms were perfect to enjoy the small town charm of Sulphur Springs. The instructions to get in, and house rules were clear and simple. The distance to downtown is close enough to walk, but far enough that it stays quiet and free of traffic. We will definitely stay here again if given the chance next time we come to Sulphur Springs!

Great cottage getaway! The host made sure to make our stay special, and we had everything we needed to enjoy our home away from home for the weekend. We loved the private setting of the cottage. Sitting and swinging on the porch swing was one of my favorite times. The drive into Canton is less than 10 minutes, and puts you downtown close to shops, restaurants, and First Mondays. I would definitely book another stay here.

Our family had a wonderful time at this lake house. Very clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. My only complaint would be there is not a dishwasher. Everything else was perfect. The neighbor dog that came to visit was a plus. Everyone loved playing with him very sweet and friendly. Great vibes at this location would definitely stay again!
