Very professional host and beautiful cottage. The view over Kathmandu is priceless. If you want to get away from the rush and traffic in the city, this is a great option.

Suren is great host, everything was as described in the listing. Big yard and empty space. You can park on the territory. He is very friendly and well managed. This place is highly recommended.

Ram's place was beautiful. 2 great bedrooms. Comfortable beds. Super safe. Big kitchen. Lovely sitting / living room. Hot water. Western toilet. Ram is WONDERFUL. Super helpful - loving bright light. Was there at the airport with a huge smile (even after waiting for us for a couple of hours because we were running late), and got us to his place quickly and safely. Only a 4$ cab ride from Thamel - the tourist hub. Be sure to keep Ram's number handy to give to taxi drivers to get you back home at night. Ram was super attentive - always answering the phone, offering to help with tours and onward travel. We booked one night and ended up staying all week ! We couldn't leave... THANK YOU RAM ! <3

IF YOU’RE READING THIS PLEASE COME STAY HERE! I was fortunate to meet a friend from Norway at a vipassana meditation retreat in America who had been here and told me about it. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had and a true gem of Nepal. Kamal, his wife Goma and family instantly welcomed me into their family. I had initially booked for 4 nights not sure what to expect and ended up staying for 12 and I really wanted to stay longer. This place attracts a certain kind of person and I met some beautiful new friends from America and Europe who I really bonded with over the 12 days. From the breathtaking hikes, truly authentic and homegrown meals, intimate meditation/yoga classes every morning and the most peaceful, idyllic atmosphere you could ever dream of, I’m already looking forward to coming back for a longer stay in the future. Thank you Kamal and family, you are wonderful!

Good location to get around Kathmandu easily.

We stayed at Pramods place for 3 nights. Mr Pramod was personally available to welcome us. It's an apartment located near the ring road area with easy access to city. We parked our car in the basement and took taxi to explore the city. Hot water was available 24/7. Safe and secured place too.

Situated in peaceful residential area. Google sometimes shows thin lanes as best route. Always coordinate with the owner. He was very helpful. My only concern was that there were no fan in the rooms. Though not required throughout the year in Kathmandu but in June it was hot and humid.

Tenz’s place is amazing. It’s very tastefully made and has all the amenities one could expect. It’s view right outside the window was amazing. We were traveling with our pet so it was great because it had a lot of open space outside for him to walk. Tenz was really quick with responses and made sure we didn’t face any issues. What shall I say about this place! It was like I was with my family; caring and protective hosts, delicious foods, local traditions, and the company of the little ones of the family unforgettable. I usually travel from city to city when I am in a new country, however, staying with this family fulfilled me so much that I did not feel the need to go anywhere else- so, I spent an entire month that flew quickly in Kathmandu. The house is located in a local area, away from the noise of the rather touristy Thamel where you see more tourists than locals. The Kapan monastery area is the best to stay at. I would recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Kathmandu as it is a genuine homestay experience.

Good stay, considerate hosting. Old style hospitality missing in most of South Asia nowadays. Homely and seeped in knowledge culture.

I've now stayed with Ranju and her familu three different times and each time is better than the last. The apartment always gains in accommodations and small things like appliances apear anew. All the things that were there before stay the same or get even better and the location is fantastic. More than anything, if you want to stay in a part of Kathmandu that locals frequent, Baneshwor is the place to be.

Everything about this place is perfect, the location is awesome, the room is super comfortable and decorated really nicely, and they even leave a beautifully designed guidebook with some amazing tips for the area (I really appreciated that it prioritized local businesses too!) To top it all off, all of the staff I met/messaged were super friendly, responsive and helpful. Book this place, you won't regret it!

I have stayed in so many airbnbs but this easily ranks as the best airbnb I have stayed. We stayed in Patan house before our manasaravor trip and we thoroughly enjoyed every day of our stay there. Anything we wanted would arrive within minutes. We were taken so well that we decided to stay at this place on our way back as well. The interiors were so beautiful and location was perfect.

Shailendra's guesthouse is a gem! After trekking in the mountains, spending 6 nights at his place felt like coming home. Nestled near Patan Durbar Square, the guesthouse is situated in a quaint, historic area of Kathmandu, where narrow streets devoid of cars wind through charming alleys filled with cozy cafes and eateries. Without hesitation, I recommend this location over Thamel (in my opinion, at least). The space itself exudes charm and comfort, with a homely ambiance. The Wi-fi was reliable, which was important considering I had quite a bit of work to get done. Oh, and the breakfast each morning was amazing! Above all, Shailendra's hospitality sets this guesthouse apart. In my 10+ years as an Airbnb user, he stands out as one of the finest hosts I've encountered. His warmth, assistance, and brief nightly chats added a personal touch, truly transforming the stay into a home.

Easily one of the best AirBnBs I’ve stayed at! So much so that I am rebooking as I swing back through Katmandu on my way to trek. Worth spending a tad more I had the top floor to myself, balcony, extra study nook, and a cute interior. The added architectural details made for the perfect introduction to Nepal and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful!!! Thank you so much!

Greeshma & Silvina contacted us at the airport on arrival & told us our room was ready early, so we could move in straight away. That was wonderful as we landed at 8am. Our cases didn’t arrive from Dubai so it was fairly stressful at the airport- we were told the guards at the property would keep them safe for us when they eventually arrived, if we were out, which was a relief for us. The apartment was lovely, bedrooms clean, fresh & bright. Everything worked as per any necessary instructions- the only niggle was the wobbly kitchen tap. It did work but seemed a bit tenuous on the wall. All in all a great stay, we would not hesitate to recommend this apartment.
