The Barn is a rural retreat tucked away at the end of a quiet leafy lane in Colston Bassett in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. Ideal for families, walkers, cyclists, gastro enthusiasts or perhaps those just looking to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, The Barn is a brand new, hand-crafted home built by the architect owner who lives in The Old Farmhouse next door. We also welcome well behaved dogs (we just request a modest fee of £20 per dog per stay)

Belonging once to the house next door where William LEE invented the Stocking Frame in 1589. Ideally situated within minutes of the village pubs and beautiful countryside walks it is close to many local attractions & wedding venues.

Sleepover with Miniature horse Basil

Basils Barn is situated on the grounds of a 17th century manor, surrounded by a picturesque 60 acre estate. The bedroom is directly attached to Basils stable, where there is a doorway in between the two spaces. In the paddocks we also have a herd of Highland cows, Hebridean sheep, horses, pigs, chickens and Norwegian Forrest cats. Our animals are mostly rescued and all of our animals are kept strictly as pets.

Unique static boat moored on the Trent , great for fishing or just relaxing, fantastic views lots lovely walks,The boat is now ready for the winter months heating on log burner ready to go, new kitchenware very cozy ,Christmas almost upon us why not try a stay over Christmas and enjoy the boat decked out. Festive homemade treats in a small hamper including mince pies and mulled wine.
