You can live among the people of the village who are happy to teach your various crafts such as dyeing and weaving. There are likely no other visitors there as we are a little off the beaten track. After traversing the length and breadth of Vietnam for 4.5 weeks, I am so pleased to say this was the most peaceful place I stayed. No traffic, no screaming kids, no karaoke, no construction- just peace. Arriving at Jungle Cottage felt like taking off a pair of tight shoes after a long hike. Chatting to Mike on the terrace, listening to the rain, drinking (complimentary) wine may well be one of the highlights of my trip. If you want to while away the hours with conversations meandering from Lao history, Hong Kong nightlife, ceramics, Cherie Booth, Winnie the Pooh, and everything in between, you’ve come to the right place. Mike is a man with the life experience of someone who’s lived 400 years, he would annihilate anyone at Trivial Pursuit Xouchiet is as open hearted as they come, and a talented cook, and lovely person The room is very comfy, and for anyone put off by sharing the house, don’t be- it’s an entirely private annex and I heard nothing from other residents Khob chai x

Pamadee’s flat is just beautiful. Loved the decor, it was cute and cosy. Every detail was thought of, including bedside charging points, hair dryer, iron, washing machine and a cloth line and a selection of teas. The place was easily accessible and we could walk around to visit resta, bars and a few temples. Pamadee also gave us some amazing restaurant recommendations. She also invited us to dress up in traditional clothing and do our make up, which we felt was a lovely touch and we felt right at home. Thank you dear for sharing your beautiful space with us. We would love to come back.

Merci pour votre hospitalité franco-laotienne. Le Laos possède une culture unique que nous avons appréciée pendant neuf jours à travers le pays. The authentic Laotian 🇱🇦 house next to the morning and night market is charming and real. The owners also have two iconic restaurant/bar in town. Even President Obama enjoyed this UNESCO town. You will too.

The Bamboo Tree Garden is a great place among the flowers, vegetables and herb gardens, where everything is grown organically. The vegetables and herbs are used in their restaurants in the city that are among the best of Luang Prabang. Linda and her family are great hosts who help you with everything. At the location where we are staying, Linda gives cooking workshops so the food is of course great. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast with homemade freshly baked croissants and chocolate cakes. The rooms are clean, spacious and with shower & bath. It is located a little outside the city, but Linda arranges a taxi and even a guide to visit the city.
