A nice country house with a garden patio

Pleasant and quiet house of more than 200 years rehabilitated respecting the typical architecture of Bierzo, with an excellent location to know the area and the entire region. Located at one end of the village in the middle of nature, from where several hiking trails depart, you can reach the Mirador de Las Médulas in half an hour or, if you prefer, in two minutes by car by road. Lake Carucedo, a magnificent bathing area, is also three kilometres away.

Fogar Mozárabe is a rural nature complex and rest in a unique medieval setting. Our houses are located in Peñalba de Santiago, a town full of history and tradition in the Bierzo region. From its wooden corridors you can see the forests of the known as Valle del Silencio. Casa Egeria has a long wooden corridor and a private terrace with garden. This house offers a panoramic view of the mountains from its large double room with access to the corridor.

We are only ten minutes walking distance from the train station and/or bus station. The bridge up the street is right by the Medieval Castle. Pilgrims walk by our building in their way to Santiago de Compostela. There is a park across the street. Every Wednesday and Saturday a traditional street market invades the surroundings. If you are an active person, there is a CrossFit box, a traditional gym and many running and bike trails near by

Welcome to this charming two-story village house surrounded by stunning mountains. This house is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the tranquility of nature. The house is located fifteen kilometers from Villafranca del Bierzo and you can easily access the Busmayor beech forest, a beautiful forest of beech trees five kilometers away, ideal for hiking and enjoying nature in its purest state.
