Beautiful views, great layout, and extremely dog friendly with nice touches make this place stand out! Very close to all the state parks in the area, but there’s plenty to do on site as well. Check in was seamless, we had clear instructions throughout, and the place was perfect!

Great place for multiples families with kids. The layout was perfect. Kids were happy, and parents were able to relax.

This is my 3rd family get-away to Heritage Harbor, and as usual it did not disappoint. The home was absolutely beautiful, with a few extra amenities that we did not expect. The view of the River, and even the Marina from the front of the house, was just beautiful. Cozy fireplace, well equipped kitchen, pristine bathrooms. The host and entire Heritage Harbor staff are so responsive and friendly. I highly recommend this beautiful home. Don't second guess it!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a quiet, pet friendly neighborhood with lovely views of the river. Everything we needed was provided and we liked the layout of the house. Regarding sleeping accommodations, there are beds for 6 people (2 queens with twin bunks above each) and additional sleeping options are provided via a pull-out sofa and 2 futons.

This private property, situated along the river in a tranquil and serene community, is truly remarkable. The rental matches the photographs perfectly, exuding warmth and charm while offering breathtaking views from every level. We appreciated the convenience of the open-concept kitchen, and having two full bathrooms along with a half bath on the main floor was a significant advantage. The master bedroom provided a comfortable retreat, allowing us to enjoy restful sleep. Although the sun did awaken us earlier on one occasion, the stunning view that greeted us upon opening the curtains made it worthwhile. The area boasts an array of excellent restaurants, all thoughtfully recommended and organized by our host. We relished our time at a winery for drinks and dined at several outstanding restaurants and a brewery located downtown, all of which were also suggested. We eagerly anticipate our return. Lynmari proved to be an exceptional host, and we extend our gratitude once more.

Needed a last min place and Scott accommodated us, we really appreciate how responsive and welcoming he is. Truly appreciate the last min help!!

The home was missing a few necessities but the owner was responsive and brought the items within the hour.

we could not stay due to a faulty hot water heater but Karen did everything to try to get it fixed so we had to leave but she refunded us our money right away. The home was very clean and smelled good and broke our hearts that we had to go else where since our bathroom at home was being remodeled. Great hostess in our opinion!!

It was our first trip to starved rock and we wanted to stay in a cozy Airbnb and Mary Jane's place was exactly what we needed. It was very welcoming, cozy, clean, peaceful and honestly, we felt like we were at home.

Nice, for a quick stay the place came through. It is a time travel to a previous era, but it does the trick.

The location is fantastic for getting to both Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks. The place is spacious and set up very well. I especially enjoyed having the spice rack available to add enjoyment to my meals as well as the hot tub to ease my aching bones after hiking 12 miles.

If you are visiting Starved Rock or one of the other amazing parks here this is the perfect location. Super cute house. Clean. Extra towels. Comfy beds. Dog friendly with an awesome fenced in yard. We enjoyed the fire pit. Cooked in the kitchen. And enjoyed the short walk to downtown Lasalle which has a few cute restaurants. Our host was incredibly responsive and helpful. If you are >6 feet tall be aware that the upstairs has a pretty low ceiling. But the pros here far outweigh that.

We stayed at Elaine's place for a girls hiking trip. The house was exactly as described and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was quit and peaceful. The location was just a short drive to Starved Rock State Park. The beds were comfortable after a day of exploring. The private backyard was very nice. We especially enjoyed the fire pit. I wouldn't hesitate to book this property again!

Home away from home! Great location near Oglesby, Morris, Streator, and Utica. Downtown Ottawa has lots of places to dine, shop. Also 10-20 min to Starved Rock, Matthiessien.

It was such a beautiful, comfortable, and impressive place. The house had everything we might possibly want or need. My friends and I had a wonderful time. We would love to stay again to re-energize.

I came here with a few of my friends to get away from life. It was such a blast!! We went crazy with karaoke, had a movie night, and really enjoyed sitting on the deck, it was so peaceful and relaxing! Theresa was super friendly and helpful with everything. I would definitely come back here!

Highly recommend The Little Blue House. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Easy check in. The house was spotless and neat and looked exactly like the photos. Everything listed was available. We had no issues at all. Linda was a great host, very friendly and communicated well. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and hope to return!
