Watch and pet our friendly animals from the cottage and experience some of the best star gazing in New Zealand from our beautiful hot tub. During your stay we offer a free animal tour of 1 hour, whereby you will visit some of our friendly animals incl bottle feeding our pet lambs (Aug-Dec), an Alpaca walk 🦙, and our friendly horses, cats, dogs and chickens 🥰

Enjoy a starry, chocolate treat on arrival then head outside to relax in the hammock or take a drive down the famous Mackenzie Starlight Highway to soak up the glacier lake views at Lake Tekapo and starry night skies at Mt. John Observatory. Back to Lucky Star Cottage - fall asleep beneath the stars: Stargaze from the comfort of your own bed, through the master bedroom roof windows . The Garden Room

The Garden Room is our wee sleepout that overlooks our peaceful garden, which can be appreciated during all seasons of the year. Conveniently located just off the highway, with plenty of quiet street parking. It’s only about a 5min walk to Countdown/Warehouse, a 15min walk from downtown, & about 10 to the botanical gardens & hospital. The kitchen is stocked with a refrigerator, kettle, hot plate, and air fryer/electric oven. You will likely meet our friendly cat, Murphy! X2 bikes if requested
