Grounds have ancient apple trees, loads of perennial gardens with more in progress, berries and an organic vegetable garden that we would love to share from if desired. If you're looking for a beautiful rustic place to stay in Maine and get away from the city and its light pollution, I highly recommend Stephanie's listing! Being surrounded by trees, the sounds of farm animals, and the stars at night was so lovely. Stephanie was friendly and also prompt with replying. I would definitely stay here again if I came back up to Maine, esp at the price point.

This renovated church made for such an awesome stay! The home itself is beautifully decorated and full of amenities. My family and I loved catching up around the firepit and enjoying meals together in the gorgeous kitchen. I could have lived in the shower. Our only complaint was how creaky the beds and floor are, but fully understand that that's just part of such a beautifully aged building. I've already recommended this listing to all of my friends back home!

We came here to visit the southern part of Maine. Clearly this location is one of the best airbnb we’ve been at. House is lovely and is even better in reality than on the pictures. Everything was super clean and tidy with all you would ever need for your stay. We came here with our 3 kids and they had a lovely time thanks to all the toys, books and board games at disposal. Place is quiet and very nice during fall season so great for a peaceful time away from the city. Didn’t get the chance the practice the canoe by lack of time but it was very tempting. We will be definitely be back!
