We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. Thanks, Lucy and Nick!

The house is beautifully designed, full of charm and character, and surrounded by stunning natural scenery. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated, from the cozy interior to the peaceful outdoor spaces. Cassie was an exceptional host—warm, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and felt like a true home away from home. Whether you’re looking to relax, explore, or simply enjoy a quiet escape, this place offers the perfect setting. An absolutely beautiful area with a lovely accommodation to stay in. Really makes you feel like your one with nature. Not far at all from lots of very notorious and amazing walks/ hikes, hosts are lovely people and the farm animals are lovely neighbours to wake up to! I would definitely recommend if looking to stay in the area for whatever reason and I would stay here again.
