Soon’s Airbnb is a treasure hunt from the moment one enters the house. Every small thing has been designed with lots of care and intelligence. The usage of space is impeccable. He has designed the house keeping in mind every small aspect that a resident might need. Be it the mirror with led light in the study desk or stocking the kitchen cabinets with tea/coffee refills or even the slippers kept in the bedrooms. The house is a visual spectacle and shows the artistic side of how a heritage house can be remodelled with modern touch. I will definitely consider staying here next time i visit Penang. Also Soon is an extremely responsible host. He kept me informed about every small aspect of the stay before my arrival. Even during the stay he was just a message away and responded to our small requests promptly within few minutes

The room is big and second floors toilet is very very bid .. he tells us all the surrounding place that can eat and shop .. dryer suddenly can’t work ,Darren came to our house to take all of our clothing to laundry .. good service .. very worth staying here . Excellent in every way. Where do I start… the location cannot be beat. Armenian street is THE George Town street to see, and it’s walking distance to many amazing restaurants, hawkers centers, boutique shops, street artworks, and other attractions like the esplanade and large shopping malls. The home itself has a very peaceful feel, oozing with oldtown charm, tastefully furnished, and very spacious. The beds are comfortable, the aircon is excellent, the hot/cold filtered water machine is super convenient, and the washer/dryer works well. Things to note: The bathroom ceiling is quite low- if you’re over 5’10” you’ll be stooped over, but they provide a shower seat. There is an atrium in the middle of the home that is open to the floor below and the shop on the ground floor. This is no issue, but something to be aware of if you have toddlers like us that are, at times, difficult to keep calm and quiet.

Suet Eng is such a great host. He is truly pleasant to deal with. He is understanding and consideration. I rented 2 units and both were clean and well equipped with kids friendly items. We are truly appreciated his help and definitely will come back.

Check-in is very convenient, the key is easy to find, the room is large, it is very quiet when sleeping at night, the air conditioning is also very cold, a very good stay experience.

I had four weeks at Daniel and Grace's place. It was so beautiful looking out at the water and the location for groceries, food etc was spot on. The hosts are both very proactive and very friendly. The bed was super comfy (and I'm a bad sleeper), so I found that really good. I was often the only one in the pool, and it was so refreshing as I found the heat hard to handle. Would stay again if visiting Penang in future.

This Penang homestay is clean throughout, from the bathrooms to the bed linens. The queen beds and pillows are firm and comfortable, which is a plus. However, the single beds are soft and the mattresses are of noticeably lower quality, appearing quite worn. If the single beds were upgraded to match the standard of the queen beds, this would truly be a 5-star homestay.
