Beachfront holiday rental in Lyme Bay

We've just had a wonderful stay at the bungalow, which is set in a beautiful, quiet location with a private garden behind the owners house. The bungalow is well equipped with everything you need and Louise and Ian are excellent, responsive hosts (thanks for the scones). Beer and Seaton are both within easy walking distance, about 15 mins, on the coastal path. We did a great walk from the door passing through Beer to Branscombe, which has a fantastic pub called the Mason's Arms, and a working mill and a forge. All worth a visit. We then walked back along the cliff which offers some amazing views. The walk was about 10 miles in total with some steps and steep climbs, so you will need to be reasonably fit. We also visited Lyme Regis and Charmouth which is a brilliant location for fossil hunting. It really is a beautiful area which is well worth a visit.

Wonderful location and comfortable, well designed home. A little village out on its own with so much character and some great walks which are medium hard but good distances either way - to the left in the next village the Cricket Inn is delicious food and friendly staff - to the right a lighthouse. The views and beach really make this place… as well as being a close drive to Salcombe and Dartmouth. The house being is well stocked, stylish and comfortable so makes for easy living. We were a family of 7 and a dog and would highly recommend it. We did a Sainsbury’s food delivery to the house twice to make getting groceries easy and that worked perfectly too.

We got to the Wales Retreat and from the moment we walked in we flet so at home with the cosy features. The property smelt beautiful all throughout. Everything was spotless and even the fridge was equipped with essentials which was greatly recieved. The loaction is absolutely beautiful and I was in love with our own secluded private decking area with the most comfiest beanbag seats! Pet friendly which was a bonus for our GSP - she loved having a little area outside of her own and tje site was very welcoming to dogs. We will really be booking in again although we sre struggling to find your availability! 🙂

We had a wonderful week staying at The Courtyard, beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped. Very comfortable upstairs lounge with two balconies to make the most of the views. Plus a lovely courtyard filled with gorgeous greenery making it feel very tropical (and lots inside too). The bed is probably the most comfortable we have slept in! Stoke Fleming is a lovely village with access to the SW coastal path in both directions – the walk to Dartmouth is a must (and get the bus back!) Lots of places to visit in the surrounding area too. Jill’s communication is excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the Courtyard 😊we most certainly hope to return!

We've stayed at Beer Head in the past, but this was by the fair the loveliest place we've had the pleasure of staying in. The location, right at the top of the park, is second to none. So peaceful and the walk up the hill is worth it for the stunning views. The caravan was as described and you can tell it's a loved family home. Everything we needed and more, with additional fleece blankets for chillier evenings and comfy bed. Becky sent clear instructions if you're not familiar with the park. Fantastic walks from the caravan, you needn't take your car out if you don't want to. Branscombe and Seaton were our go to for daily walks and we drove further (25 mins) to Lyme Regis (but get there early for parking in Summer months). We've already decided we want to return next Summer if possible. Thankyou Becky for a wonderful stay xx

The garden flat is a very pleasent place to stay. Everything in the kitchen works well, the bathroom is lovely and the bed very comfortable. The outside space is a great space to sit and watch what's happening in the estuary. Claire is a good host, friendly and amenable. The village of Shaldon is easy to walk to, with a couple of nice pubs , and friendly people. All in all, a very nice place to spend some time.

We had a lovely stay, cottage was perfect, well maintained and had everything we needed. There was visitors parking available but we used the cheap parking at West Quay as just a few steps from the cottage. Perfect for Watchet and surrounding areas. Thank you. Steve and Anna 😊

The caravan is in a beautiful location in walking distance to Lulworth cove and Durdle Door. Kate has thought of everything which made for a really comfortable stay. It’s spotlessly clean and really nicely decorated. Loved the peaceful site that it is on too. Highly recommend it, it’s a great place to visit to enjoy stunning scenery and lovely walks.

We stayed for 3 nights. The holiday house was spacious enough to fit family of 4. Plenty of room to play for little ones. Very clean and well organised. The only improvement I could suggest would be to install slim dishwasher but it was perfect anyway. I would recommend and come back.

The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. The location is great for exploring the whole area. Helen was flexible with arrival and check in which made the holiday less stressful with small kids! Brixham is a lovely town to stay. The site would benefit from the new clubhouse pool & bar which was opening imminently, which we missed.

The host, Julie, was really helpful and responsive to our messages. Beautiful surroundings and the views from the chalet were incredible. We were visiting old friends and neighbours and it was an excellent base. The walk down into Shaldon along the golf course was convenient and stunning but be prepared for the walk back up!! The chalet had everything we needed and was really nicely decorated with comfy sofas and beds. Wish we were there longer and would love to go back.

Fantastic, clean and well-equipped caravan in a beautiful setting on a fantastic site. Hayley couldn’t have been more friendly, welcoming and responsive. Ladram Bay offers so much for a young family and our children loved the site, proximity to activities and the beach. Thank you Hayley and family for sharing your holiday home. We will definitely visit again!

Emily has a lovely caravan in a quiet spot on an otherwise busy site. The caravan felt surprisingly spacious and it was great to have that second toilet available. It was also lovely and very convenient to have the shower. The site offers a lot for families with several play areas, crazy golf and swimming pools.

location was absolutely perfect for a relax and a decent walk everyday, we paddle boarded up the coast both ways and the scenery was stunning and finished most days with a swim in the pool. if you're after a close too everything place too stay this isn't the place for you but if you're looking for a break away from the world then this will tick all your boxes 🤗

Had a lovely weekend stay in the caravan, just as described and in a beautiful location. Host was excellent in communicating instructions for check in. will be rebooking in the future!

A well positioned, clean, tidy and comfortable caravan on a fabulous site right by the beach with plenty to do. Caravan was lovely with everything we needed.

A really fabulous season front location with gorgeous views. Really loved my mini break here. The gulls nest is cosy and feels like home from home with all the amenities you need. The bed was really comfortable, and the living room had a stunning sea view. The whole apartment was light and airy. The guest information was very helpful and I was delighted to have the coffee machine! A lovely stay, highly recommended.

....you can totally chill at suki's place...just watch the world go by, tides come in & go out...also nice beer at hand if you do need to walk 50yds..

We loved staying at Tristan’s place. Perfect location-couldn’t be better, literally a 2 minute walk from the beach and all the amenities. The house had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated with a lovely sun trap balcony on the top floor. We love Lyme Regis and have been many times for long weekends and this is the best place we’ve stayed in terms of the house and location. Tristan was really helpful and great at communicating and it was lovely to meet his dad also! Well-recommended and thanks so much for a great stay!

This really is a gem of a place. So stylish yet homely. It is off a fairly bisy road, but you didn’t notice that at all when inside. It’s a little oasis with a beautifully mature garden. We slept really well and would stay here again without any questions. Parking was super easy too.

This was a multi generation family holiday at half term. It was priced as you would expect for school holidays. The location is fantastic and the views are amazing. Chesil Beach is a couple of minutes walk down the road. It is hilly but easily accessible for people with no mobility problems. It was home from home with everything you needed for a very comfortable stay whether you cooked some meals there or accessed the local cafe or pubs. The parking was clearly explained and although we never managed to park immediately by the cottage we weren’t more than a few minutes walk away. We were able to offload the luggage and had a supermarket delivery without any issues. Clare gave us some lovely recommendations for things to do and where to go for meals with children. All in all a fabulous place to spend some time in a lovely location which was a pleasure to experience.

I loved my stay here! The location is fantastic, and the little garden in back was heavenly. I loved sitting outside at sunset and drinking coffee out there in the morning. Host was extremely gracious and had great recommendations (River Exe Cafe is a true gem). The house is extremely cozy. I wish I stayed here longer!

Fabulous apartment, extremely clean, spacious with quality fittings. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need. The location of the apartment is amazing, sea views to front and views of the nature reserve to the back. The balcony with seating was a great addition which we used every night to watch the sunset. We've stayed at quite a few places in South Devon and this was certainly the best and made for an amazing holiday. Private parking was an added bonus. Hope to be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here including the beautiful property, amazing views and lovely hospitality. Both Chris and Julie were so welcoming, friendly, attentive and helpful during our stay. We had a few queries and Chris and Julie supported us to navigate these in a timely manner. The property itself is just like the photographs in particular the room in the attic is picturesque and has gorgeous views of the sea and surroundings. The gestures and amenities including leaving a welcome note and a gift of fudge for us, a birthday wish for my father, the greeting from Chris, the tea/coffee/milk, top quality fan, hoover and Alexa! Everything was superb and we are very happy with our stay. Thank you Chris and Julie for such a wonderful stay.
