Holiday houses in Machairado

We hebben een fantastische week gehad op Zakynthos. Deze mooie ruime villa, centraal gelegen op het eiland is een prima locatie om het hele eiland te verkennen. Genieten van de rust en privacy bij het zwembad en uitrusten in de ruime kamers met nette badkamers. In de keuken is er genoeg om goede maaltijden te kunnen bereiden. Echt een aanrader!

Questo alloggio ha tanti pregi, ma c'è un appunto da fare: Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo, offrendoci in più occasioni la buonissima uva e il vino (che purtroppo non siamo riusciti ad assaggiare) della sua terra. La casa era pulitissima, comoda, completamente attrezzata (soprattutto la cucina e i detersivi) e molto bella. Anche il suo socio è sempre stato molto gentile, reattivo e disponibile. C'è però da segnalare una cosa: il proprietario non abita vicino o dall'altro lato della strada come facevano intendere altri recensori ma vive praticamente nel giardino della casa o comunque è sempre presente nelle immediate vicinanze dell'abitazione, non dorme nella vostra stessa casa direttamente, ma di fatto ci gira intorno. Per cui bene se siete persone che apprezzano o a cui non importa di avere una compagnia "estranea", che ahimè però non parla inglese (né italiano), non benissimo invece se avete le pile sociali un po' scariche o preferite maggiore privacy.

Our host Chris is wonderful. He and his wife were very friendly. U could see that they really prioritised us feeling like home. If you are a family with kids this is a great house to stay. No stairs and a big area to play in. Even toys for our daughter was available. House is very clean and has a modern design. We truly loved everything’s and will definitely come again .

At home with Jenny! My partner and I had an amazing time at Jenny’s House. Jenny was there waiting for us when we arrived and led us around. The house is even better in person than it looks in the photos. Everything you could want, is available, including very big soft towels both for the bathroom and the beach. The beautiful garden and quiet surroundings are perfect for a relaxing time. The personal touches made us feel truly at home, like the fresh flowers from the garden that Jenny brought us after a mid-holiday-cleaning, the cheerful waves and ‘kalimera!’ we shared each morning, and the afternoon coffee time on occasion. We will definitely return here when we get the chance! Jenny and her family are wonderful hosts and beautiful people!

Fantastic villa with everything we needed for a family of 5. The interior and furnishings are very stylish and we loved our time here, the kids especially loved the pool and hot tub! There is lots of restaurants and places to go within a short distance of the property and the beaches are beautiful. Thank you to the host for being so accommodating and helpful. We would recommend to all who wish to stay on this lovely island.

We added this Villa as an mid week break from our AI hotel, very glad we did as it got us away from the British area the hotel was in, The place is outstanding and the views are amazing. The local supermarket was lovely to deal with, the chicken, sausages and feta was outstanding. The lady of the shop was very helpfully with areas to visit. There is amazing restaurant up the hill, food outstanding, view lush and they make their own wine that was amazing. You must look inside the local church and monastery. It was only two of us so the place was oversized for us but I loved every room. Outside pool is clean, gets sun all day, amazing view and no one overlooking you. Kitchen had everything we need to cook. Tv room downstairs and upstairs you can get Netflix, YouTube and link your phone to it for music. Bed we used was perfect. I did think the owner would have left bottle of his own wine, then if liked we would have got more. Amazing place

Met ons gezin (man, vrouw, 3 volwassen zoons) een week in villa Olivea verbleven. Echt een prachtig huis en een vriendelijke eigenaar die klaarstond indien nodig. Het zwembad was wat fris maar dat mocht de pret niet drukken. Halverwege de week werd er nog een keer schoongemaakt, de handdoeken vervangen en de bedden verschoond. Wat een luxe. De citroen-en olijfbomen in de tuin, zó leuk. Een auto is wel noodzakelijk, maar dat was ons ook verteld, dus die hadden w we gereserveerd. Veel mooie plekjes op het eiland ontdekt en lekker gegeten op verschillende plekken. Ons verblijf was zeer relaxed en aangenaam. Of we nog eens terugkomen weten we niet, maar dat ligt absoluut niet aan de plek, maar meer aan ons omdat we graag nieuwe dingen ontdekken. Dankjewel!
