Holiday rentals with a patio in Machico

We had three wonderful days at Blue Whale House. We arrived by car, which we returned immediately on arrival as we wanted to spend our last few days without one. The street is very busy and narrow, even parking for an hour was a bit more complicated directly at the house. The location is very good, even without a car there are great hiking opportunities and there is a bus line from the eastern tip (PR8) via the airport to Funchal. The apartment was very clean, we felt very comfortable and enjoyed spending the evenings there, we would definitely recommend it!

Super host - very responsive and provided excellent recommendations. Great location to explore on foot and by car. Parking no issue, and easy drive to airport. Apartment was tremendous. Balconies allowed us to have breakfast in the sun outside admiring the views. Walk into town about 15 mins down hill - not too strenuous. Lots of Ubers that were inexpensive, so easy to get about. We had x4 full days in Madeira which were full of activities. Palace Gardens and Levarda walks were excellent. Truly wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

We were welcomed immediately very friendly by Connie, who gave us great tips for the restaurants in the neighborhood and some fresh vegetables from the garden. Connie and Johnny are always available for any questions, yet you have total privacy. The view is amazing, day and night. All furniture is from the highest quality, fully equipped kitchen, a perfect bed and an awesome bath. Worth every cent, just book it and you will have a dream vacation!

Cristina was a wonderful host, always available with helpful tips and recommendations. The apartment was very clean and tidy, furnished, arranged and equipped in the best of taste. Stunning view, very quiet, even if very near to the expressway, and because of that perfect located to get everywhere easy and quick. Restaurants of all kind available within short driving time. Overall - very advisable!

Absolutely Perfect Stay in Madeira! This Airbnb was hands down one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the hospitality, cleanliness, and stunning views. Stefanie came out to welcome us. The home was exactly as described—if not better. Beautifully decorated, thoughtfully stocked, and incredibly comfortable. The ocean and mountain views every morning from the balcony. It felt like a dream. The location was perfect—peaceful and quiet, but still close enough to restaurants, hikes, and shops. Stefanie was fantastic—super responsive, helpful with local recommendations, and made us feel completely at home. We truly appreciated the little personal touches and the attention to detail. We just had the most lovely week in Jose's appartment. Elvio met us as agreed and took us to the appartment and showed us everything. The pool was lovely, glad we paid for it to be heated as I can't cope with cold water. The apartment is spotless and modern with everything you need for a break. The villa was beautiful - stunning location - and perfectly furnished. Lovely walk to Ponta do Sol village but the walk back is not for the faint hearted - Bolt is available :-) Whilst there were a few teething issues on arrival, Rita was super responsive and helpful in sorting any problems and our stay was great. It was a lovely stay in a stunning villa with amazing views and we would love to come back.

Great host, very quick to respond. Great accommodation, very clean and tidy and so nice to have the pool. Very hilly, nice walk down into town but would recommend getting an uber or bolt back to the apartment. It’s only 5 minutes and €5 for the trip.

This chalet is absolutely beautiful! It was exactly as pictured - if not more lovely in person. It was peaceful, clean, and so cozy! We enjoyed making a fire in the fire place when it was cold and rainy. Ana was so responsive and let us check in early and was helpful giving directions and gave great recommendations for places to eat. Hot shower, comfortable bed, washing machine, full kitchen - everything you need! There are, however, some pros and cons with the location to consider. This is a remote property in a small village - which is what makes it so pretty, unique and peaceful. It’s also off the main road on the way toward Pico de Areiro which is great if you’re spending time in this location hiking, canyoning, etc. However, keep in mind it’s very remote. I really did not like driving back there late at night and was a little uneasy sleeping there at night because it felt so remote - but if that doesn’t bother you, I couldn’t recommend this place enough! We would stay again!

The accommodation is located in Santa Cruz and we liked it very much. The complex consists of two cottages standing side by side, each with its own private garden. It is also very quiet and the sea view is wonderful. Inside, everything was very clean and the hostess even let us check in earlier. We felt very comfortable. The location is great and you can reach everything easily. We will be happy to book again!

Carla was a wonderful host! She provided detailed instructions, was responsive to our questions, and the apartment was very well appointed. The kitchen had everything you could need! Enjoying coffee on the deck, overlooking the water, was an unforgettable experience.

Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely perfect! We were so impressed by the peaceful and quiet location, which allowed for a truly relaxing getaway. The property itself was of exceptionally high quality and very well-furnished, making us feel right at home. We genuinely had everything we needed and more. The heated pool and whirlpool were a fantastic bonus, providing a luxurious touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The view and atmosphere are incredible. We were very comfortable here, and the welcome basket was a very pleasant surprise, perfect for an evening meal. We highly recommend this home if privacy and relaxation is what you are looking for after a long day of hiking and exploring!

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Funchal. The space was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. Perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location was ideal: quiet but still within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the waterfront. Check-in was smooth, and the host was welcoming and responsive throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Madeira!

Very nice apartment with stunning view. Close supermarket to buy everything we needed. Parking in underground garage. Cookies and bananas as a welcome gift were very great.

Great location and views. Plane and street noise did not disturb us as we kept bedroom windows closed. Everything you need to cook. WiFi can be a little spotty. I would stay there again.

Great apartment within walking distance to the center of Funchal. Exactly like the pictures and the terrace is really amazing! Very quiet neighbourhood to stay, even with the ongoing construction sites nearby. Parking space is a real plus as well.

This condo was beautiful, clean, and had an amazing view. Plenty of seating, close to a grocery store and many restaurants. The infinity pool which looked over the ocean was lovely. We would definitely recommend.

We spent 10 days in Madeira in a beautiful apartment. Excellent facilities and sparkling clean. A wonderful terrace. A folder with all kinds of information about the house, surroundings, eateries, etc. We enjoyed it.
