Our stay at the villa smiling petals was very nice. The accommodation is located in the mountains, so you need a car. The view is fantastic and the amenities are simple but completely sufficient. The only criticism from my side is the bed. Unfortunately, the mattress was already quite worn and uncomfortable and it creaks as soon as someone moves in bed. Otherwise, we enjoyed it.

We’ve enjoyed the stay at Tony’s apartment. It was easy to get there with very clear instructions. Ocean view was fantastic. We’d everything needed, including washing things. I would like to have some more coffee.

Very good location for exploring Funchal with only a 5-10 walk to the shops and restaurants in the centre. Very spacious for the 4 of us and great views from the balcony. Nice local bakery next door, worth a visit for breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Lino’s apartment. The views are breathtaking! the apartment is spacious, our favourite spot was the hammock! Lino was extremely helpful giving restaurant recommendations and responding any time we needed him. We will definitely be returning at some point soon!

So the stay was relaxed from the first minute and you were warmly welcomed. We were even welcomed at the parking lot! 🤩 After the introduction to the circumstances, there was always a contact person there. I can only recommend it is worth every penny.

We had a fantastic stay at Filipe’s home, which is beautiful and really thoughtfully designed. It’s very well appointed, spotlessly clean and in a very charming little village away from the hustle and bustle of Funchal, but still accessible by car. Communication was excellent and the fruit and biscuits were a lovely touch. Highly recommended.

Carlos’s place was fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay – the property was beautiful, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect, and everything was well taken care of. A special thanks to Carlos for the warm hospitality and helpful communication throughout. Would definitely love to come back someday. Highly recommended!

Pedro’s place was worth every penny. View was amazing. Hikes challenging, worth every step. Have a well used knee, actually strengthened everything. Food fresh and delicious. Very fresh and satisfying. Desserts amazing. Best Airbnb stay yet!!!

To start with, I never put 10 because perfection does not exist but I regret that we can't give a rating of 9.9!!! The house is super welcoming and perfectly equipped. There was even salt and pepper, oil and vinegar which we can't find much now, plus two “welcome presents,” which becomes extremely rare. We stayed in the northernmost room: PERFECT bedding! (Which, too, becomes very rare). In addition, the location is ideal for visiting Madeira and the sunsets in early May (Good, only 5 out of ten evenings because of the curious weather) were beautiful! The layout (bedroom + dressing room + bathroom) is also perfectly thought out. The “winter lounge” which allows you to have breakfast and dinner overlooking the sea and warm is also a plus. Perfect contact and responsiveness of the host, even at 6 am (storm and power outage)!!!. In short, an excellent stay

Beautiful location surrounded by mountains. Nicely decorated inside with space to sit outside and take in the view. Great shower which was appreciated after a day hiking. We made the most of the kitchen to cook in the evening and make breakfast for the morning to enjoy alfresco. We visited the local bakery a couple of times and would recommend for coffee and baked treats. Luis was responsive and helpful. An ideal peaceful retreat.

We stayed four nights in Hugo's accommodation. It is a beautiful house in a beautiful and very quiet area. We had agreed on an arrival time with Hugo in advance and he was waiting for us at that time (with a cake baked by Grandma herself🥰) and gave us a tour of the residence. We really enjoyed it, thank you Hugo!

Lucia is a gem! She invited us over for Madeira wine, shared a tour of her garden, picked fruit and vegetables for us, and stopped by with cookies and baked sweet potatoes. An absolute joy to talk to (in our and her mix of Portuguese and Spanish), and we felt very much at home in her home! Sao Jorge is just 25 min from the airport, and an easy location to visit all along the North Shore -- levada hikes and town oceanside swimming pools included -- which was our goal. The view from the apartment is sweet, looking out at the town's church and the gorgeous hills above. Loved our time there.

What a super relaxed place to stay! Great view from the balcony / patio with lounge chairs and a hammock. You need a car to go to a restaurant, but there’s a fully equiped kitchen and bbq. Miguel is such a nice host. He left us bananas, passion fruit amd sweet potatoe and brought us fresh baked bread later in the week. The only thing: because it is a bit humid, the bathroom smelled a bit humid too. It did not bother us at all.

We were really happy with Rui‘s Appartement. It was really clean and looks like the pictures. The check in was really easy:) Sometimes we heared the the people in the Appartement above. The airport in the nearth wasnt a Problem for us. Thank you Rui

The accommodation convinces with the fantastic view - at breakfast and dinner we enjoyed the view very much! Unfortunately, the nearby main street is louder than expected. The accommodation is equipped with everything you need, especially the washing machine we were very happy to use during our longer stay, in the kitchen you can also cook a little more extensively. The apartment is attractively furnished, but in some places it is a bit outdated. The apartment is outside the city, you should definitely have a rental car, but you can reach some great hiking starting points by car a little faster.

Beautiful surroundings, clean, and well maintained

Stephanie was a great host, super responsive and very flexible with us which was really helpful. The view from the apartment was absolutely stunning and it is a huge space, really great for groups or families travelling together.

Joana is a kind and proactive host, always available. She gave us advice for good restaurants and places to visit :) The appartment is bigger than expected with everything you could ask for. I would definitely recommend Joana‘s place! Small tip: The underground parking space and its entrance are quite narrow so try to get a smaller rental car if possible. Not kmpossible with laeger cars, but less stressfull for sure 😁

Delila was an great host. Apartment was clean with all the amenities. Location is great, close to the beaches, stores and restaurants. Bus stop is right in front of the apartment.
