Holiday rentals with beach access in Madalena

Our stay was amazing! Pico was our first island in the Azores, and in this studio you could see for miles to the neighboring Sao Jorges. Truly an amazing view and comfortable accommodations! The host was very responsive and even gave us a fan on some warm nights we had while staying.

Hébergement très stratégique pour ceux qui aiment faire de la randonnée, le sentier #20 passe juste devant. En plus, le logement est situé à 15 min. de marche pour prendre le traversier qui mène à l'île de São Jorge. L'hôte, Andreia, qui habite sur le même terrain, est très disponible pour toutes demandes.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Horta. Die Unterkunft hat einen tollen Garten und ist wirklich leise gelegen. Zwischendurch hört man leises Meeresrauschen. Parken auf der Straße war kein Problem. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The apartment was exactly what we needed and its location is perfect - one way to a quiet beach and restaurants and the other way to the Horta waterfront. It could not have been better. Joao was helpful and responsive and we’d love to come back!

Logement situé en dessous de l'appartement de la propriétaire qui n'était pas là. Il est très bien équipée. Nous avons été accueillies par une amie, très réactive et disponible pour des conseils.

The accommodation was great. Clean, cozy and has literally everything we needed. On top of that, the host was super lovely, always offering help, introducing us to the local culture and more. She gave us very useful tips not only about trips, natural beauties or gastro but also about travelling through local airlines etc. This stay was a great pleasure and beyond worthy!!!!!!!! WE LOVE THAT!

We had a short stay but everything was great! The views were beautiful on the top floor (there were stairs), and there was a nice outdoor patio. We had enough towels and all the amenities we needed (full sized fridge and freezer which was nice). The parking was easy and spacious. Great location, I recommend!

We had a wonderful stay. Dina met us with a lovely welcome basket full of local foods. The place was in a quiet area with lovely restaurants nearby. The house was more beautiful than the pictures could capture. Thank you for everything Dina.

This apartment exceeded all my expectations. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, even for a longer period. The view from the terrace is unbeatable — perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and some local cheese. Communication with Sónia was easy and pleasant. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone who loves peace and quiet combined with beautiful nature.

Charmante petite maison parfaite pour notre famille en séjour pour quelques jours à Faial. Logement très propre ayant les commodités et équipements requis pour rendre notre séjour agréable. Nous avions une voiture ce qui nous permettait d’accéder aux différents sites à visiter ou randonnées à faire (voiture requise selon nous). Emplacement parfait pour être aux premières loges au coucher du soleil sur la mer. Nous retournerions chez Ana sans aucune hésitation.

I’ve had three fantastic nights at Adega do Garajau. The house is very rustic, cosy and well equipped for a comfortable stay. The place is super clean and well taken care of. The location is spectacular just by the ocean with uninterrupted views of the water and across the water views of Sao Jorge island. All in all I am super happy choosing this lovely and charming adega and would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful and convenient base to explore the island of Pico!

We felt incredibly lucky to stumble upon (& get to book) Jorge’s summer family home: there is not a better view of Horta in the entire area! We loved having our mornings & evenings overlooking the gorgeous bay & town. There were many evenings we had dinner at home instead of out because we knew we could not beat that front yard! We never met Jorge, but he was so warm & responsive we felt like we knew him. His recommendations were terrific (do go to Peter’s Sport Cafe- the food is excellent & the Gin & Tonic, per their & Jorge’s recommendation, is so smooth & to die for ((& we aren’t even cocktail people)). The house was great; we only had one minor issue, & Marco & Carla, the caretakers, (who are such kind, wonderful people), handled it perfectly. We loved Faial so much! Definitely hike the volcanoes, & go to O Moro Quijeria for the best cheese in the world (seriously!). We certainly recommend this house to others & plan to rent it again ourselves :)

La maison a été rebâtie suivant le style ancestral. C'est très joli et réussi. Les animaux de la ferme, les oeufs de canard, poule et dinde qu'ils nous ont fait goûtés ont été bien appréciés. Les hôtes nous ont donné plein d'information utile et ils répondaient rapidement à nos messages. La maison est bien située pour parcourir l'île. Un conseil, ne faites pas comme nous. Nous avons suivi notre GPS et monté au lieu de descendre la rue Caminho de Igreja. Si vous suivez les instructions à la lettre, le chemin se fait très bien.

Superbe logement dans un endroit très tranquille. Très propre et bien équipé pour cuisiner. L’hôte nous a même laissé plusieurs produits locaux à l’arrivée. Très belle piscine naturelles à distance de marche. Je recommande fortement ce logement. Nous nous y sommes senti comme chez nous dès l’arrivée.

The check-in process is very easy. The house is on step hill. There is a balcony and patio overlooking the ocean. Spend 4 days there and haven't heard anything apart from the birds and waves crashing on the rocks. Haven't heard a car passing in 4 days we were there. Amazing place to relax. There were 2 of us but there is a lot of space in the house for 6 people. Small shop , restaurant and pharmacy nearby. Easy access to sea (200m walk). Car recommended. Plenty of free parking within the property.
