I stayed four nights at the flat and very much enjoyed my stay. It is tastefully decorated, well appointed and remarkably quiet! The big floor cushion was a personal favourite to read at the end of the day. I was pleased to find everything I needed (including a few cooking basics like oil and salt, as well as laundry detergent, which is not always the case in some places). Took a few minutes to locate the washing machine. You will find it behind the door in the kitchen. Walking to Sé neighborhood, which I found to have the most interesting (and on a Sunday, open) restaurant options took about 20 minutes at a brisk pace, so a reasonable distance, but I was a bit discouraged at the hike back up the very steep hill at the end of long days, so I opted for the lazy solution of taking (cheap) Uber rides. Parking on the street is easy and so is accessing major roads to go East or West. Overall, a wonderful find that I recommend unreservedly.

This is a beautiful place! The pictures did not do it justice. It was open and spacious, we felt relaxed the minute we stepped in! We traveled with our 3 adult children and we had plenty of space. There were a lot of extra touches-fresh flowers, a cooler to use, swim towels, complimentary cake and wine, and blankets for use out on the patio. The parking was convenient as we rented a car for travel on the island. We took the path to town and wish we would have done this earlier to enjoy the beach. The view from the apartment is spectacular. The area is quiet. However, if you are sensitive to noise when sleeping, it is better to sleep with the window closed. So you don't hear the morning traffic, and neither do the dogs and the rooster in the distant neighborhood. Julie is very helpful and always quick to help when you need something. She had brought pastries and Madeira to welcome them. Please note that the terrace is not connected to the apartment. That is, you have to first get out of the house and then onto the terrace. I was able to park the car comfortably on the property. I will miss the view! I can highly recommend the apartment.

We will be talking about the wonderful stay we had at Filip and Renata’s place for a long time to come. The space is perfect for a couple or small family. The bedrooms and bathroom are spacious, the kitchen is exceptionally well stocked (there’s even Tupperware so you can pack sandwiches for a hike), and the outside space is comfortable, quiet and beautiful. Now I know why many other reviewers wished they had stayed in this location for the whole of their Madeira travels! The location is excellent for exploring the island and returning home at night is easy, especially with a dedicated parking space. What really makes this place shine are the hosts, especially Filip who offered many suggestions and treated us to fresh bread and other goodies. He was so warm and kindhearted. This is a gem of a property; do not hesitate to book!

It was the most beautiful accommodation I’ve had since using Airbnb. Everything is spotless and clean, you feel like you’re the first person ever to stay there. The apartment has everything you need, and the products are high quality. Someone put a lot of love into this place, and you can really feel it. Highly recommended!

If you are going to stay in Madeira , this is one of the nicest places you can stay in. The setting of this home is beautiful, and is located in a very pretty town with some great choices of restaurants and bars. The terrace has a stunning view and the kitchen space has everything you need for cooking should you want to do that. Bed is really comfy after days of exploring. We managed to park in the car park in the town every day - feels a hire car is a great asset in Madeira. Alessio is extremely friendly and makes you feel right at home when you arrive.

The place was great. The view from the beautiful terrace! Nuno is an extremely kind host. He responds quickly and gave us plenty of recommendations. The departure and arrival at the accommodation was made very simple and pleasant thanks to him. In addition, Ponta do sol is a very convenient place: a supermarket with gas station just down the village, great restaurants and the beach being a beautiful place to see the sunset. I can only recommend this place to stay in Madeira. It's been a real favorite!

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was very cozy and had everything we needed. Great view! The city is incredibly beautiful, with so much to explore and enjoy. Claudia also provided a very detailed guide that made everything so easy – from getting around to finding the best local spots. Highly recommend!!

We were in good hands in this beautiful apartment. Since private accommodation in a settlement can be done during the day, but as a tourist you are usually on the road anyway. The best equipped kitchen we have seen so far. You think of everything that you don't have to buy everything yourself for a week. Shop and restaurant also within walking distance. Good internet. Hope to see you again!

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment. The view is truly stunning and the apartment has a beautiful balcony that you can sit and relax on. Apartment is in a good location - close to shops, restaurants and bars plus easy transport routes into Funchal. The rooftop communal pool is an excellent feature and great for a morning swim to start the day. Apartment was clean and had all the amenities that we needed - we appreciated the welcome gifts that were left waiting for us on arrival. Hosts are very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I was to return to Madeira.

We had a wonderful stay at the place. Everything was as described and the photos were appropriate. Communication was always friendly and you received answers to your questions very quickly. The hostess and the host were very warm, you felt at home 🥰 we will definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay here, would definitely recommend it to everybody! Marta's gave us great advice on what we could do in the eara. When we had any questions she was quick to respond and give some tips. Great place to stay for your holiday!

The accommodation was beautifully located in a very quiet location with a breathtaking view. Everything was clean and furnished with love so that you can only feel comfortable from the first moment. It had everything you need, we also loved the many kitchen utensils and the grill, which we used every day. The terrace with whirlpool, lounge, loungers and table were the highlight. We spent a lot of time in the accommodation because we felt so comfortable. Calheta beach is 5 minutes by car and highly recommended. We also found the private parking lot great. Bruno and Maria are very accommodating and also asked how we are and if we need anything. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, lots of privacy and yet we can get everywhere by car. We are glad we booked at this spot! The balcony was wonderful to have and everything was clean. What stood out the most was our very responsive host making sure we got all checked in even while her car was broken down on the side of the road! Despite the emergency, she responded to all our messages promptly and helped us check in. I was extra grateful when I woke up extremely sick from some bad fruit the night before and we were allowed a late check out until I recovered! We even left one of our passports at check out and she made sure the staff kept it safe for us. Very helpful owners, would recommend.

Betty is the top host! She welcomed us with open arms. Very fast to respond, friendly and helpful! We were able to check out in the afternoon and enjoyed our last lunch at home before leaving for the airport. The view of the mountains is breathtaking at day and night time. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was our 3rd visit to Madeira with our elderly mum. She got beautiful bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in shower. Betty also got an armchair for mum so she could relax on the balcony. We had such a comfortable and great stay! highly recommended!

Great place! We loved the location, the flat had everything we needed, and the host was very kind. Perfect starting point for trips along the coast. We'd love to come back and stay longer next time :)

upon arrival we were very well received by Ana. She explained everything to us and we were even able to arrive a little early at the apartment. She gave us tips for sightseeing, dining, and also told us the nearest supermarket. Ana was at her best!!! The apartment is perfect, there is everything you need even more than we imagined. Thank you for everything! We were able to fully enjoy this beautiful island. And Gabriel spent almost all his evenings in the pool 😄 thank you again from all 3 of us

Excellent accommodation, pool with breathtaking views, the jacuzzi is a must after a day of hiking. The hosts are also lovely and very friendly

This was a beautiful Airbnb with a great patio. Tons of wonderful restaurants were in walking distance. Paulo was a very friendly host and even delivered fresh bread every morning!
