Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Madeline Island

WR THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR ONE WEEK STAY AND HAVE ALREADY BOOKED THE SAME WEEK NEXT YEAR.

Beautiful farm house. Host was super responsive. VERY quiet, so much that we wanted to use the noise machines in the rooms. Very warm (we visited in February and below 0 temps) and pleasantly surprised how warm it was. Bathrooms don’t have exhaust fans and would recommend bringing or adding more fans to the property for moving air at night because it was pretty warm. (Yes we turned down the heat at night)

Beautifully decorated and stocked little bungalow; Michelle's left no detail without consideration. At one point, the power went out for a couple hours and Michelle was proactively communicating throughout. Kitchen is will stocked with everything you need. The sauna gets hot enough for a good sweat, just watch your head stepping into the shower. Lots to do within walking distance. Lots more to do with a little drive. Great spot, would stay again.

My daughter and I stayed from May 25th-27th . We absolutely loved it from the kitchen to the living room and upstairs with all the lovely beds and the soaking tub was my absolute favorite . Very nice , clean home away from home . Kassi had everything we needed . Thank you again for a very lovely stay . We will definitely be back soon .

I absolutely loved this place very clean and bright. Beautiful decorations and set up super cute. I left my ear buds there and Susan called and texted and mailed them back to me. They where very responsive and helpful. The house is Right near the trails and walking distance to very good restaurants and bars. I will be back here in the winter so I can try some snowmobiling. I love this place the owners are great and I will be back

My husband and I needed a little weekend away with our dog and this property was PERFECT. Close enough to Duluth/Superior that you can do a quick drive to hike, grab dinner, etc. while also being far enough out that you can enjoy the peace and quite of a country cabin. We enjoyed the local restaurants as well. Loved the option to hike on the property with our dog (just make sure to check for ticks, we found quite a few - it's that time of year!). The house was really clean, especially for a place that allows dog. We appreciated the additional touches like a blanket and towel for our dog to use during our stay. 10 out of 10 - would definitely rent again!

We can't wait to come back . They are a very sweet and helpful. The cabin is perfect.

This is a great space for a group! The pictures don't clearly show how spacious it is. Plenty of room to make meals, lounge, relax in the sun room, etc. It's right off a hiking trail and has beautiful views. Very close to town and walking distance to a delicious little bakery.

Great place to stay! Everything is exactly how it looked in the pictures. Everything you’ll want to get to is within a 20 minute drive! Very helpful hosts!!

Pearl and Jim are great hosts, very easygoing and always helpful. The apartment is the lower unit, exactly as described. From the great window in the main room to the wonderful deck, large bathroom, comfortable bedroom with plenty of closet and drawer space, everything worked well. The garden and lawn that lead down to a small private beach are beautifully landscaped. The apartment was spotless and comfortable.

If you are fortunate enough, to spend some time on Minnesota’s North Shore, you won’t be disappointed staying here. Brenda and Tom‘s place is exactly as described. It is more than we expected. It is clean, beautifully decorated, and a lovely place to spend a vacation. The location is perfect and so scenic! We enjoyed sitting on the deck and even spotted an Eagle! We had a wonderful time hiking and exploring the surrounding area, including Gooseberry Falls, Grand Marais, and the quaint town of Two Harbors.

Loved this place. Was perfect for what we needed. Amanda was very responsive. The place was cozy and clean. Thank you so much for the accommodations. Will definitely be back.

Martha was a terrific host. The home was exactly as described and suited our family well. Martha was great at communicating and offered some local tips on things to do as well. We had a great time.

We had a very relaxing stay at the cabin right on Lake Superior. The location was perfect to visit nearby Bayfield. The unit had everything we needed for a quick weekend getaway. The host had amazing communication and we look forward to staying in one of their properties in Bayfield next summer.

Enjoyed the sauna, kids love the bunk bed. The mattress wasn’t the most comfortable for me. The place is not fancy but was private, nice porch, fire pit and adequate kitchen. Worked for what we needed.

It's always enjoyable having a host that communicates effectively; Kaity was one of those hosts. Her welcome note was thorough and provided all the information we needed for both check-in and check-out. The home is adorable. The massive windows in the main gathering space gave you the 'full north woods' feel. Kitchen is smallish but we certainly appreciated how well stocked it was with all the appropriate cooking utensils. Providing a drip coffee pot and pour over was a great touch; we used them both. Bed mattresses were awesome - nice and firm. We were there for the mountain biking and boy did we have fun on so many of the nearby trails. Bottom line: It's a nice place to getaway to.

This was a great getaway for our little family of four! With a 2 year old and a 4 year old, we've been wanting to go camping but not quite ready yet for the whole experience. Brien and Shelley's place gave us the experience of nature, togetherness, and some amount of fending for ourselves (bringing drinking water, using an outdoor toilet, bonfires, etc.), while still providing the comfort and ease of a real bed and a real kitchen! We love visiting Two Harbors, where there is plenty to explore and it's a quick drive to multiple State parks, and yet, we were amazed and grateful at how private this place was. And what a bonus to have the river run through! (Great for our agate-loving family members.) Thanks for your hospitality! We hope to return!

My wife and I visited here as part of a North Shore trip for her birthday, and it was a wonderful little mountaintop haven. The view from the deck alone is worth the trip—actual miles of Lake Superior stretching across the horizon. We would wake up, spend the morning drinking coffee and reading Aurelius on the deck, and happily soaking in the sunshine and savoring the unparalleled vista.

Betty’s Pies was just close enough to the location for us to hop on our electric bikes and enjoy the easy, scenic, back-country ride, culminating of course in the happy indulgence of celebratory birthday pie. It was honestly just the mix of relaxation, peace, and beauty that our tiring souls were in need of at the end of our trip, and our host was entirely thoughtful, communicative, and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Been coming to Elizabeth's and Mike's place for many years. Great location for XC skiing, Road and Mountain biking, and hiking. XC ski and bike shop on site. Elizabeth and Mike are the best hosts I have experienced at the many Airbnb places I have stayed.

This cabin was in a beautiful, private and peaceful location. Hiking trails are available on the property. There are many hiking trails to different waterfalls within a reasonable driving distance away. Scott was very responsive with communication. I made the mistake of not realizing that all the beds are twin bunk beds. I, for whatever reason, assumed the bunks to be either full or queen bunk beds as I have experienced at another cabin. Again my mistake. I would recommend staying at Scott’s Ino Cabin.

Our family had a wonderful visit. The fire pit was amazing and the cabin was cozy and very nice.

Beautiful lake view and a great stay overall. Check-in was easy, and Luke was very responsive and accommodating. The home was clean, spacious, and well-stocked. We enjoyed the bonfire, cozy fireplaces, and appreciated the baby gates for safety. The older kids loved exploring by the lake. Would definitely stay again!
