Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Madeline Island

Beautiful farm house. Host was super responsive. VERY quiet, so much that we wanted to use the noise machines in the rooms. Very warm (we visited in February and below 0 temps) and pleasantly surprised how warm it was. Bathrooms don’t have exhaust fans and would recommend bringing or adding more fans to the property for moving air at night because it was pretty warm. (Yes we turned down the heat at night)

David was a great host very accommodating. We stayed a extra night and he was very helpful. Would stay here again If Im in the area

I absolutely loved this place very clean and bright. Beautiful decorations and set up super cute. I left my ear buds there and Susan called and texted and mailed them back to me. They where very responsive and helpful. The house is Right near the trails and walking distance to very good restaurants and bars. I will be back here in the winter so I can try some snowmobiling. I love this place the owners are great and I will be back

My husband and I needed a little weekend away with our dog and this property was PERFECT. Close enough to Duluth/Superior that you can do a quick drive to hike, grab dinner, etc. while also being far enough out that you can enjoy the peace and quite of a country cabin. We enjoyed the local restaurants as well. Loved the option to hike on the property with our dog (just make sure to check for ticks, we found quite a few - it's that time of year!). The house was really clean, especially for a place that allows dog. We appreciated the additional touches like a blanket and towel for our dog to use during our stay. 10 out of 10 - would definitely rent again!

We stayed at Cedar Cove for 5 nights with our extended family with an age range of 18 months to 80 years. This house is a perfect place for a multi generation get together. Everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed the beautiful house and furnishings. There are multiple sitting areas and the beds are extremely comfortable. The view of Lake Superior is gorgeous. The house is very well equipped with all the kitchen ware we could have needed. It is also stocked with many good books, puzzles and games. It is a perfect place to get away and relax.

We loved our stay at Iver’s Place! Great location for a North Shore getaway. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great place and our family had a really good time. Great location to be able to ski in and out and the wood stove was a nice touch. The house was hard to find in the dark when we first arrived and price seemed a little steep for what it was. Overall nice place and we would recommend.

We spent the holiday weekend here celebrating my parents 60th birthday. The place was clean, cozy, and in a great location. Walkable to everything and nice that it had its own parking spot. The were extremely responsive to any questions/concerns we had and were very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway to Bayfield!

An incredible space at the end of a private drive, overlooking the lake. The space was warm and welcoming, literally and figuratively! Loved the front sitting room with floor to ceiling windows to sit and sip coffee and enjoy the views. The proximity to the neighboring Houghton Falls preserve was enjoyed using the trail on the property. Peaceful, relaxing, made use of the large fire pit outdoors with the lake in the background. Close enough to town if you forget something and need to run in real quick, otherwise peaceful privacy to enjoy nature and the beautiful surroundings.

Great place to stay! Everything is exactly how it looked in the pictures. Everything you’ll want to get to is within a 20 minute drive! Very helpful hosts!!

My family and I were very happy with: the location, the great water view from the balcony, the attached bookstore (a must visit), everything you need in Bayfield being within walking distance (including the ferries to the Apostle Islands & the Saturday morning farmer's market), the long list of amenities in the apartment, the cleanliness of the apartment, easily accessible parking spaces, and the quick and thorough responses from the hosts. Some patrons at the bar next door were laughing & having fun a little loudly outside on Friday night when we were going to bed, but the sound machines that were available in each of the bedrooms easily took care of it for us. (Saturday night, the patrons were quiet, but we still enjoyed using the sound machines.) We needed help with the airbed and the hosts took care of it promptly. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location. Loved watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor from the porch. Place was clean, bed was comfortable and I loved the decor.

The home was decorated nicely, plenty of kitchen pots, pans, and utensils to make a couple of nice meals. Very clean. Beds were comfortable! Plenty of towels and wash clothes. The bottled water in the fridge was very nice. Appreciated the flexibility of a little later check out. Would definitely stay again.

Kassi was a fabulous host and readily provided useful information and helpful tips about the area. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for our trip. It was a great place to stay and we're already planning a trip to come back in the winter and experience the ski resort around the corner!

The place was spotless. The fire was cozy, the hot tub was hot, and was perfect for our ski weekend minus the sub zero temps.

We absolutely loved our stay! The connivence of the ski in and ski out was amazing. The rooms were a good size. Pillows comfy. We had three children with us that loved the bunk bed bedroom. The hot tub was clean and a perfect way to end the night after skiing. There is a puzzle and an arcade machine available for family fun. We would have loved to see a deck of cards or board game; but generally speaking those are items that can be brought from home. Overall, the cabin was perfect..

Great place, wonderful host , perfect ski in - ski out location, highly recommend!

The AIRBNB we had booked for a ski weekend cancelled our reservation 4 hours before check in after driving from Chicago through nonstop snowstorms over 2 days due to a "double booking" . We located this property because it was a busy weekend and not much else was available with the assistance of AIRBNB support. So happy we were able to stay here! Location was perfect as we were skiing at Big Powderhorn (1 min away) and Snowriver (15 min away). The villa was clean and exactly as described. The kids had a great time in the hot tub after a long day on the hills and the adults had a great time warming up next to the fireplace with a cocktail. Slept 3 adults and 4 kids comfortably and we did not feel crowded at all. Kitchen and all amenities were perfect for our needs. Will definitely look up this listing again next year when we return for our annual trip to the UP.

We originally booked a different place, but when the host found out we’d be skiing at Big Powderhorn, they kindly offered to switch us to this unit. It was such a pleasant surprise and far exceeded our expectations! We’ll definitely be coming back next season.

north vacation rentals was super easy to work with. communicated very clearly and quick to respond. the hot tub was great, but was shared with the unit next to us (no one booked that one during my stay so we had it to ourselves)

The Alpen Villa was a perfect spot for our ski weekend at Big Powderhorn. A great ski in/ski out villa right on the slopes. At night, the hot tub and Ms PAC-Man arcade machine kept everyone entertained. Would definitely rent here again.

The water falls and hiking areas are conveniently near by, the view is amazing. If your looking for an amazing weekend i suggest taking the trip and rejuvenate your family life and your love in each other because it really help my family and I.
