House holiday rentals in Makahuena Point

We loved this house! It was everything we needed with an open plan kitchen, living room and dining room overlooking a beautiful swimming pool. Kitchen was stocked with all the utensils, cookware etc that we needed. Beds were comfortable with A/C in each individual room. Wonderful private backyard which we enjoyed after coming back from shopping or the beach. Hosts were responsive, friendly and polite.

Very clean and well appointed condo with ocean view. Recreational gear was available. Host provided notebook with pertinent information about the condo and the area. Parking was readily available.

Beautiful inside and out! Clean and wonderful linens. Natural light in every room. Walkable to beaches on sidewalks. No chickens in the neighborhood! Means no roosters in the morning. (a rarity). The house is on a short, quiet street with other amazing houses. We had everything we needed. The AC in bedrooms was more than sufficient.

Was the perfect place for my family of 6 to stay! Each room has its own bathroom and the place was immaculate on check in. The host is super helpful and responsive and helped us with booking excursions and any extras we needed for our 2 y.o. granddaughter ! This property is located in a great neighborhood and was an easy 5 minute walk to Shipwreck Beach from the back patio. Speaking of the back patio, we loved eating breakfast and enjoying family time on it. The layout of the home is also very functional and homey. Would love to come back and stay here again and highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay in Lisa's home in Koloa! The house was very clean, comfortable, and felt like home for us during our stay. We loved sitting on the outdoor balcony watching the sunrise or just hanging out, reading and relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms and bathrooms had great space, and it was a 15 minute walk to nearby restaurants and shopping. The massive couch was great for our family of 5, and we enjoyed playing games at the dining table. The location was also convenient to activities we had scheduled during our stay. We highly recommend this house and the Koloa area!

We had an amazing stay. The layout of the home was perfect for our multigenerational family gathering. The home was beautiful and clean with a fully stocked shed filled with beach amenities (tons of chairs, beach blankets, sand toys, and snorkeling gear), we didn't need to bring or buy anything. The beaches were a 15 min walk on a pathway through a community green space with beautiful gardens along the way. The property management company was super responsive and answered all of our questions very quickly. Overall, an awesome stay.

Great place in the north area of Kauai. Close to Hanalei. Sina’s place was great for my boyfriend and I. We really appreciated the AC in the bedroom and the free laundry in the place. The host was also great at communicating and responding quickly. I would book with Sina again in the future! :)

Excellent location to walk to the beach every morning and see the sea turtles. The beds were comfy and kitchen had everything anyone could need. We loved the use of the beach chairs. A great place that we plan to return to.

This place was amazing! It was stocked with everything we needed, and then some, during our vacation. Our favorite part of this home was the view and how peaceful it was in the neighborhood. My hubby and I sat outside on the downstairs patio almost every morning and evening with our coffee. We even ate meals out there a few times. The only noises we heard were the ocean waves, the roosters, and all of the birds chirping and cooing. We loved the home and the stunning ocean view so much that we extended our stay. The bed was super comfy. The home was extremely clean. The property managers were always responsive and helpful. The kitchen was a dream to cook in. The neighborhood was like an oil painting by the mountainside. We enjoyed walking the trails there. We felt so safe our entire stay and even slept with the windows open a couple of times. The trade winds felt amazing. This home helped make our vacation extra special, and we'll definitely stay there again if we're back in Kauai.

Awesome place to stay! House was very clean and modern with a lot of thoughtful details. Location is perfect for exploring all that kauai has to offer, given proximity to wailua river, the easy drive to northern beaches, but also to southern areas for Allerton, etc. Peter was very responsive and suggested some great hikes that weren’t on our radar. But we also just enjoyed being in the house for down time after all our activities, with windows open and that ocean breeze blowing through. We didn’t want to leave.

Tiana was a wonderful host and the home was perfect for our family's visit to Kauai! She was quick to respond to any questions we had and we even got to visit with her during the week when she brought us some fruit grown by her family! Great recommendations on different area beaches and activities. Loved the home, the spacious gathering places, A/C when needed (but not needed much!), and the location within walking distance of a number of beaches, which was perfect for us. Very clean. Found everything we needed in the kitchen. The boogie boards and beach equipment was super helpful (used every day!). Will definitely stay here again when we return (hopefully soon!).

The place surpassed all our expectations. The views from the balcony of the mountains, lush trees, flowers and waterfalls are so beautiful. We definitely want to go back. You will not be disappointed!!

Another great stay in Koloa! This home never disappoints. It’s such a great set-up for a family, has the most amazing views, and it’s such a great spot to get around the island.

This house was perfect. The porch was nestled up against the forest and we had horses visit us each day. It was a very short walk to a quiet beach and a short drive to Hanalei Bay for groceries. Honestly didn’t feel like we needed to go anywhere else on the island because this place was so relaxing.

A Kauai gem, highly recommend! The house was amazing along with all of its amenities. Nestled at the end of a quiet cul de sac with beautiful views. Convenient location to everything on the north shore!

Brief trip to Koloa to celebrate a milestone birthday and spend time with our children. Kaycee's house on Kukuiula was fantastic and perfectly sized for our small family. The property is ideally situated on the property, quiet and private, and appeared to be very new and high end. All amenities worked properly and we had not difficulties at all during our 5 night stay. The Kukuilula Resort is unique and very high end. We were able to take wonderful walks on the large property and well as to the Village, Secret Beach, and other areas along the coast of Poipu. Simple 5 minute walk to shopping and restaurants and a grocery store. Kaycee was an excellent, friendly, and helpful host thoughout the entire process. This is our best house rental experience to date -- bar none. We hope to return soon!

Perfect condo for an island getaway. The condo matched the pictures and was relaxing and comfortable. Perfect place to come back to after a long day of beach adventures. Would definitely stay here again!

If you need to relax in a spacious home on a gorgeous property away from the hustle and bustle but still near amazing restaurants and stores… this is it. This place has an old Hawaii charm with all the modern conveniences. Also, if you are booking any Na Pali tours, this is so convenient and close to the harbor where all the tour companies are located.

We have stayed at many different properties of Susanne’s over the years, and this was one of our favorite places to stay. Exactly as depicted in the ad. Super clean and super convenient. We can’t wait to come back to Kauai and stay in one of Susanne’s properties in the future.

Incredible vacation thanks to the perfect home base. This home is comfortable and thoughtfully appointed, with little extras that really set it apart…all the beach toys you could want (cruiser bikes, surf boards and car roof carry system, boogie boards, snorkel gear, cooler, chairs). Our family of four didn’t need to rent a thing, which saved us money and hassle. The home is also stocked with bath products, paper products and everything a home cook will need or want. The location is terrific, with walking paths and beaches nearby, along with restaurants, a market and more. Our teens loved riding bikes to the beach on their own and grabbing gear right from the garage to add to the fun. Ian and Melissa are very good at what they do; they’re kind, responsive and thoughtful, taking care of every need. If you’re looking for a beautiful home-away-from-home, this is it. We’ll definitely be back.

Fabulous location, steps from Hideaways, short stroll to Queens Bath and 1 Hanalei. We walked everywhere, saw tons of turtles, kitchen is well appointed, exceeded our hopes, thank you!

My family of 6 stayed 5 nights at this beautiful property. The house sits secluded in its own grove of fruit trees, surrounded by a canal. It is also just a short few-min walk to Moloa’a Bay, which is never too crowded. The spacious house has everything you need to cook meals, or enjoy some downtime on the wrap-around porch. It also comes equipped with all of the necessities you would need for enjoying the beach- kayaks, surf boards, snorkels, towels, fishing rods, and more!

The host was very responsive and addressed our concerns quickly, which we really appreciated. We booked last minute, and while the property wasn’t ready upon arrival, the host promptly sent a cleaner to take care of it. Once everything was taken care of, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The view is absolutely wonderful, and despite the initial hiccup, we would definitely book this place again!

Cash was a gracious host, accommodating our early check-in needs upon arrival. The location is beautiful, near the water and affords dramatic sunset views over Hanalei Bay. When I accidentally fell through a screen door on the lanai, Cash was able to promptly repair it. Amazing!
